Would like input on this???? What is high miles for a buell ?

Their is a guy that it selling a 2005 xb9r for $4,900..The bike has new tires, and jardine exhaust, with 11,000 miles..I think he would come down off the price some..

But the miles are what is holding me back..Should i WORRY ? ..Any input would be great..

I need a solid performing bike..For 120 mile a day work drive...Also is the R A good choice for longer rides ???? THANKS

26k+ on my 04 XB12R.

Buy a bike that you think is worth the price. If you buy something that you think is too much, as soon as something breaks you'll think you got ripped off and be pissed.

My 04 12R had 35k when I totaled it, the motor is still going in another members bike.

My Uly has 25k on it, and I will prolly see 100k if I dont crash this one! LOL

I am 6 ft too and found the R a little cramped, but I adjusted the longer I had it. You could put Uly or S pegs on it to make it better, or even change the bars if you are that uncomfortable.

People always act like bikes are disposable compared to cars, yet you see so many old bikes around.

Even when beat senseless, most keep going.

I judge the bike by the owner and appearance of bike to a great extent, miles are secondary. Until you go to sell it maybe, then the question comes up again.

My 05 xb9sx has 29k and I've been doing 1300+ miles a month since I got it in march with 21k with no real problems. I plan on riding it into the ground, and its going to be a while until it gets there.

I'm coming up on 50,000 on my 2000 M2... it can still flip me on my ass.

Incredibly... the rear isolators, clutch, and belt are still original and holding up fine.

There are several people with Uly's over 50k. There is a 2006 Uly (not on badweb) that has 94k and the only issue is that the oil cooler leaks!

Here is a pic of Tramps 200k+ bike:

that thing runs?

and what is it?

it looks like a s2 or older frame because of the peg brackets but the seat looks like it came off of a m2 along with the front forks the tank im not sure of and the engine looks like it has had some work done too it, but the rest of the bike looks ruff.

He started explaining it, he mentioned the front end was on Spiderman's bike, and some other piece on the left side he got off the side of the road and stuck on. Yes it runs, it sounds great. To bad the gauges fell off back in 'nam, so we don't know the exact mileage. : )

take it to the dealer do a sellers assist on it, get the extended service plan on the bike (as long as it is under 50k and ten model years old) And start riding the damn thing.
