Didn't want to call you out like this, but since you don't respond to PM's/emails, I guess I have no other choice. What is a man without his word? Well Ebear seems to feel that he can post threads/contests on this site and offer a prize for the winner, but fail to deliver with the goods. You don't say one thing and do another. For some reason this got under my skin. Probably the fact that Ebear has been avoiding me by to replying to messages. Really, I could give 2 sh!ts about a T-shirt. Ebear or anybody else out there who decides to have a contest and offer a prize, please come through with the goods, it's the right thing to do. | ||

Original title of this thread as created by Boney95: "BadWeb-Ebear, A Man Without His Word..." I know Eric Barrows (EBear) and can vouch that he's absolutely a man of honor. Raising a public stink about the t-shirt contest issue is beyond petty; your clear intent being to embarrass and insult the man. God hope you never suffer a mis-step in life and have it broadcast worldwide in derisive condescending form for all to see. For all you know, Eric is dealing with serious issues that have prevented him from following through. Regardless, you are WAY out of line. I still remember Eric and I fetching a car load of groceries and beer for Nick & Sam's (VegasBueller & Wife) BBQ party in Florida during Bike Week a few years ago. Ebear paid for half of the goods and never asked for reimbursement. That is the kind of man Eric is. You are so far out of line on this it is painful to watch. The right thing to do would be to post a polite inquiry on the topical thread. I'm hoping you'll see fit to edit or remove your post entirely and take that respectful approach. Edited to clarify the issue of the thread title change for those who may have missed it. I should have included that information from the start. Sorry for the oversight on that. Blake, You complete my sentences, "petty". I complete ly agree with you and I believe I came across that this situation was petty. Again I'll say, it's about the principle. My mother taught me to stand and stick by my word. It's that simple. Another reason for this post is that he has been active on the site so I figure every thing is on the up and up. No reason for him not to reply to my messages ... My intention was not to attack, but to inform. I would expect the same for me if I would have done this. Wow... I feel like I dodged a bullet. I was 3 MONTHS late sending Jsunstar some mirrors I said I'd give away free to the first person who responded to the thread in the classifieds. Boney95, Ebear is a personal friend of mine and I happen to know that he goes WAY out of the way to help fellow bikers TIME and TIME again. MANY people on Badweb agree with me and will attest that he is a stand up guy. I don't know the particulars and personally don't care. I suggest you tone your accusations down ten notches and take a deep breath. Going public with stinkbombs just ain't going to solve any problems. Again, Ebear is one of the best friends you could ever hope to have. I'm out. | ||

By reading the entire first post (did anybody else?) I don't find any fault in what Boney posted. Ebear was on here a couple of days ago, so his computer must work. I have some parts that are paid for by another person who I have emailed numerous times to no avail. The way I see it, the only persons calling names are not named boney95. Other people, including admins are stooping to name calling, albeit charachter names not actual bad names, but names nonetheless. Ebear a friend of yours? Ask the dude if he intends on "paying up". I would, it sure makes the threads last half as long. | ||

I have the email somewheres. Really, I wasnt offended at all, and it was good to hear the other side of the coin. No hard feelings, and the hat went to NY. I will have to find the email, the post has come off my blog already. Latest Badweather help, Steve from the other side of the state helped out one of our Buellers with a belt he had in stock for a belt that we wouldnt see for weeks. I just got it out to him Friday. Really if it werent for here, I dont think the riding experience would be the same. I dont know how many times I have parked the bike and another guy will come and say .... So you're CityXslicker.... Its a small community, but it has far reaching benefits. I am sure the shirt is coming. The contest was kind of fun, we will have to do it again. (though I was nowhere close) | ||

Didnt you see?!?!?! I am selling adventure MUD. Its packaged and ready for consumption. I took some to the BMW slide show two weeks ago. They loved it. And it was marked down from 19.99 to just 5.00. Dirt in a ziplock bag with a label on it. The BMW guys will buy anything  I am thinking of having different 'flavors' like mud from Mexico, dirt from Alaska, and sand from Maui.... Those specialty blends will cost more. | ||

I hope your mud comes with explicit application instructions. We wouldn't want any injuries with people erroneously applying the mud while the actual bike was running. I met Eric some years ago and have had a number of dealings with him. He's always been a great guy to deal with. He is also held in high regard by a number of other people that I know that have never been anything but first class. What Blake and Reindog have said about him is right on the money. This is why people have the right to defend themselves in court. Be it legal or public. Wouldn't a nice email to Blake, Court, or any of the other "old timers" here inquiring as to what was going on and if they had heard from Eric in a while would have been a better option? |
