Started out with another local motorcycle board/group here in Austin. I was the only one in the group to have the good sense to ride a superior motorcycle, so I felt like it was my duty to remind all my rice-burning brethren just how far above them I was by rubbing their faces in it with my handle. 'Course on this board I'm out-Buelled by many of you with regards to the bikes you own (had two; now back down to one, thanks to a ditch full of limestone boulders), though maybe not in terms of my love and admiration for the marque! I've been signing off as HellBuelly Jay ever since I started the Hill Country HellBuellies Yahoo!Group to promote Buelling here in Central Texas. Maybe I should change it to HellBuellierThanThou}? Nah, I don't think so...

HellBuelly Jay

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/hellbuellies/

"A HellBuelly's greatest work is to break his enemies, to drive them before him,
to take from them all the things that have been theirs, to hear the weeping
of those that cherished them, to take their motorcycle between his knees and
press in his arms the most desirable of their women."

Duck

15 years ago I was assigned to a little outpost by the name of USAFS SINOP or United States Army Filed Station Sinop, Turkey. You had to go in in "civies" as things could be a little dicey back then. The airlines lost my luggage and for two weeks I had nothing to wear, but a pair of jeans and a pair of sweatpants that had the DUCKS part of The University of Oregon Ducks running down the left leg in HUGE yellow letters. It wasn't too long before I would hear people yelling from behind closed curtains or doors. DUCK! or DUCKIE! or DUCKMAN! Just like any good nickname, you have no say in it and it tends to stick. Everywhere I have been assigned since someone has known me and the name has carried on. Two weeks ago I was home on leave and my Mother called me Duck as if it was the name she had given me. I just chuckled to myself.

Stevedplumber
Posted on Tuesday, October 21, 2003 - 12:03 pm:   Edit Post Delete Post View Post/Check IP Print Post    Move Post (Custodian/Admin Only)

Back in 1994 I joined the Plumbers local here in Maryland. After going to apprenticeship school for five years, I graduated to a Journeyman Plumber for Local #486. As my last name is Huemmer and I am a plumber, I created the e-mail address of huemmertheplumber. Now the internet company I am currently with could not accept this nickname as an e-mail address (too many letters), so I created stevedplumber as an e-mail address. Easy to remember don't you think?

Last name is Bartlett, folks mostly call me Bart, long ago when I worked at NASA, some engineers jokingly called me Bartimus because of some of my two wheeled shenanigans on site. My first two choices for nicknames were taken and this is what I ended up with.

I don't have a Buell problem. I can quit any time I want. It's not like I'd get a tattoo or anything; when I get that bad, I'll do something about it. I tell you, I'm not a Buellaholic. Honest. I really don't have a problem. It's not that bad. I've got it under control.

Well my name used to be a Game handle I used. I_like_hot_Chicks. I used it cause it pissed people off and i thought it was funny. People would say.... WHO DOESNT LIKE HOT CHICKS.. and get all pissed off because of a name. Therefore i kept the name.
Also I do like hot chicks.

Well all the other Dave's got first pick. So I went for the name of the company I work for.

I guess I need somebody like Court to think me up a great story to go with it. But that will just get me a patch fine or something.

Long time lurker here who got enthused about the 20th and decided to attend. Had a great time and at the banquet received the award as the . . . . . . . oldest rider.

Could that be why Court left before the banquet?

Well I started out on ATC and another website called focaljet.com. I then moved on to SacBORG, here and Cycleforums.com. I'm the same name on all those boards. It's a simple conjuction of my first initial "G" for Gregory, and my middle name "Olin." So if you see Golin on motorcycle forums, it's probably me.

Try typing out aleutianswillmonster!

in the humble beginning I was known as Zero (a pun on my last name - Nill). Now I put the spin on it when someone raises an eyebrow to it. Yep; nothing, notta, zip, zero absolutely.

Awhile back I assumed the name Loki, this in part to honor a long time friend whom is gone. Loki was my 6 yr old ferret.

The last part is part of my nature, the tricky one or trickster. Some friends used to say I was a magician with aircraft wiring and systems.

So Loki it is and shall be.

Don't ask about the swillmonster thing.....It is a dark dark story.

Here is a good one... my brother was called Noodle. Not for his brain power, rather being 6'3 and weighing in at less than 190.

This is way to much fun

Gyro that reminds me of the guy that set the world wheelie record years ago, can't recall his name right now, rode something like a 125 Yamaha trials bike around the TT course on the rear wheel. He used a small electric motor to keep the front spinning as in gyro. The guy died of cancer - damned if I can remember his bloody name but he was a biking celebrity over here.
