Assuming this can't be defeated with a little snip-snip, I see an instant opportunity for aftermarket entrepreneurs. A little emulator that assures the brains of this kit that all is well and mellow while allowing the rider to do his thing would sell like crack-frosted hotcakes. |

Just need to vote out everyone in government that implemented the law and vote in folks that will change it. rex |

The law is fraught with too many difficulties to ever get enacted as stated. Better to send a citation to the driver (bike AND auto) with a revenue enhancement fine. Better still to aim a laser particle weapon at the satellite and ... |

You know, I don't really have a problem with stopping bikes doing 150mph on the public roads. Hyabusas are already speed limited/governed by the factory. |

I see a run on 72 Ford Pintos that have these things strapped and clipped onto them like Legos. |

The article said it would be available for those riders that would want to use the technology. My question is why would someone want to voluntarily use a speed governor? ..laziness? |

Ferris, my assumption would be you get an incentive like a 99% insurance reduction. I don't see any other reason why. |

I dunno... I feel I could do something majorly stupid at 45mph... If anything ever happens like this, we should gear all our bikes up so redline is the speedlimit... Run around at full throttle... |

First it's for "safety" reasons.... next thing ya know, they're charging an outrageous fee to ride your own vehicle. You don't pay, you don't move. It's all part of their evil plan. Like the "subscription" version of a Windows OS Bill Gates has been working on. ~SM |

I wouldn't have a problem with it, if first they installed it in all of the Mini vans and suv's. Then they install the no cell phone, text device. Remove all the drink holders, DVD systems and make a car, truck or van what it is supposed to be......transportation. I would think the graduated license system would yield better results. So how long would it be before someone on Badweb figures out where the satellite receiver was and how to defeat it?????? The amount of deviant talent on this board is amazing. Not worried. |

They already charge outrageous fees. Taxes, registration (every year), smog tests, safety inspections, insurance, etc. I like your idea Lost, a cell phone jammer built into the car... |

I see more car/truck speeders and accidents than bikes. Mommy, we're being picked on by big brother again. They can take my throttle when they pry it from my cold dead hands! They nhave to catch me before they put that sh8t on my bike. |
