Damn, I swore never to set foot in my dealers showroom again. Oh well, they probably don't have a stamp anyway. Looks like another ride up to Tilly.

Guess I won't have to be concerned with looking a gift horse in the mouth...even with AOL's pop up blocker removed all I get is to peruse Buell's very well designed website.

Joel, Lowcountry has the stamp (already got mine this morning). Those "cast in concrete" statements will come back to bite you in the butt every time.

Ferris-
Good job, but man, you either have a desk job as an accountant where you have to be at your computer long enough to dream and type that up, or you need to get out and ride.

thanks for the kind words, Charles :)

my job these days requires sunup to sundown in front of a computer screen, hence the ability to pop in and out of here pretty much at will.

as far as dreaming this stuff up, man, this is only the tip of the iceberg, my friend.

and as far as the getting out and riding thing, you couldn't be more right!

btw, San Rafael ain't that far from Ferrisville -- come on up sometime and we'll prerun the "Ride with Erik & Court" route :)

Dang Dave, I'm in Illinois too (and wireless, but in my own house). But I have to be someplace at 1:30. Why didn't you say something sooner, It's a nice day to ride, I guess I'll have to settle for a ride Walters Bros.! Making my own hotdog won't be the same as a road trip dog.

Free t-shirts are better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.

Printed out my coupon(s) and headed to the dealer.I needed to pick up my new service manual anyway.
As I figured,It took them awhile for them to find someone who knew what it was all about, but got the dealer stamp on the coupons, and they are being mailed out today.

Newfie, ping me when you head out, i can show you some bitchin' roads in British Columbia (the Duffy Lake Highway from Whistler up to Lillooet springs immediately to mind), and it'd be a shame for you to ride ALL the way out here and not see a few of the many tasty twisties in Washington, Oregon, and California, too.

hmmmm, if we could also snag Erik and Court for this gig we could call it the.......

Somebody posted this at the Yahoo Buell XB group in regards to the T-shirt giveaway:

"PLUS, current Buell owners will receive a $500
coupon good for purchase of a new XB9 or XB12.

At least that's what the salesguys told me today."

Bubba, Dave, anything to this?

So I print out the coupon. Fire up a bike and ride over to "My dealer" wait in line at the counter while three people buy a bunch of cow skins and other bling bling. Finally give the coupon to the gal behind the counter and ask that she get it stamped with the "Dealer stamp". She takes it and leaves and well about twenty minutes later she returns to tell me she talked to everyone in the store and she has been assured they do not have a "Dealer stamp" and she then tells me to go to one of the other Dealers in town (yes the one that does not sell Buells) to get it stamped. I asked well if you guys "My dealer" do not have a stamp what makes you think the non Buell dealer will have one? Her assistant chimes in that they are not as confused and much more organized than this dealership. That must be my que to leave. So I thanked them very much and left.

So Dave and Bubba you guyes really don't have dealer stamps do you? It is just a big joke right? Cause "My dealer" would never jerk me around. Right?

Man you would think the "T" shirts were going to be a charge back to them or something. I mean really it would not have cost them a dime to stamp the thing. And they wonder why people do not always give that dealership the thumbs up.

Ok rant off back to stealth mode. I love my Buell thanks Erik and I could not fit in a large T even if I went on a diet. LOL

DAVE (no not that one just another one)

It's NOT pathetic Chris, it's what we call reality here in Arizona! O'well as they say ...... in the end, it's not how quickly you get there. It's how much fun you have on the way.

Once again the egg heads at head office have looked to the great white north and give us the middle finger, I for one am real sick of getting treated like a red headed stepchild what is with the double standerd. Dealers or retailors to me they are the same, and they wonder why they are have a hard time selling buells up here, they should get there heads out of they asses
