After a day of bumper to bumper traffic in Galveston Tx. 1st. annual bike rally, the ride home was to be a relief. Two miles from home the oil light comes on and a rider on a blue XB9r pulls away. I limped home to find no oil in the tank and not much sings of leaking. Im getting tired of adding $9. qts. of oil. The only oil spots are at the breather bolts. Damn Devonator has been a problem since install. Their are no gaskets between the head and the intake support plate. The Devonator was supplied with a thick nylon washer that dosn't work well stoping syn. oil from leaking. At work I found some 1/16" teflon gasket material and cut four gaskets. Two hundred and fifty miles later not even a weep of oil from here, and the tank remains full when hot. If any one needs some breather bolt gaskets, I may be able to help a few Buellers. |

two questions: how many miles did you ride with the oil light on? and W.T.F. is a "Devonator"? |
