I am clueless.
I guess this shows you did somehting to a bike to improve its performance!
if so what model and what did you do to it.

I know! I know!

I'm guessing by the post title that this is for the Nallin's 1420 big bore kit for the XB's!

I like that nice big peak of power down in the low end...Gotta start savin' my pennies!

Is the 12.6 A/F ratio the reading at 4000 RPM or is it an average that just got printed on the 4k graph line? That's a lambda of about .86 which is good for power. That little wiggle in the A/F line corresponds to the dip in the curves above. I'm guessing some fine tuning of the map could help flatten them out.

I think he put a 12 crank in a 9. The rev limit for the 2nd run is down to 6800.

That's a nice A/F ratio graph. Actually one of the flattest I've seen. See what's possible with a techlusion.

Don't take this the wrong way but I have seen dyno sheets posted here and on other websites with the 1250 kits and higher HP.

I would have thought that the 1420 kit would have yielded more power.

Is there something holding the motor back?

I'd say it's by design. Just see how the hp peaks and falls back after 4000. Clearly not tuned for high hp numbers.

I think it's the Force pipe. I think the header tubes are too small for that much displacement at that RPM range.

No the header tubes are fine, I went down a 1/4 inch in my header pipes and it works great,
Decreasing the header diameter can increase gas velocity.

I am kinda confused by a 1420 only makin 95 I have 93 with stock displacement, and XB heads and XB12 pistons.
With the 536 cams I just put in I should top that 95 no prob.

I know they'll increase velocity at lower RPM's, but in the upper range you need to be able to flow volume... The force pipe is already tuned for a 984, so going to 1420 may be too much flow at the upper RPM's for the header diameter...

Just my 2c though : )... YMMV : ).

That dyno is showing a 15hp gain and a 45ftlb torque increase. That is one hell of a steep torque curve. I myself would be VERY happy with that.

I have a buddy with a 1203cc X1 that does the same thing. More or less a copy of Aaron's M2. Well over a hundred at the rear.

Amazing how fast he can walk away from me doing a roll-on.

Yeah, I keep telling Aaron that he needs to try riding that beast down near sea level. He takes such a power hit up there in the thin mountain air that he doesn't really know what a beast that bike is to ride. I've ridden 130 rwhp Buells at near sea level; that was a serious wake-up call concerning throttle control.

I must be missing something. If I'm reading the dyno sheet correctly, the bike went from 80.8 to 95.5 RWH,and 66.8 to 100.8 on torque.I was thinking the RWH should have been 120+ with that set up.You will get more RWH than that with a NHRS 1250 kit. So,my question is why is it so low on RWH?
