Hey Court
You know what sign welcomes you to New York at the Western Border on 90?
"Toll booths 1 mile"
about a 1/2 mile later you get the "Welcome to NY, the Empire state"
They stick us pretty good upstate too  |

Difference with NYC and the rest of us is that they are taxed to death and we of the upstate variety are getting "fee payable to the State of New York" crammed up our arse.
They have not seriously raised taxes up here but fees went from 3oo million to 1.75 billion under the great Pataki..

Tramp: Not to pick nits or anything, but your definition would include Nassau and Suffolk Counties as "Upstate..."

Well it's OK i can't go myself my wife got a call to work tonight and i'm taking care of my sweet baby girl. So maybe i will have a night/day to myself soon before it gets to cold. |

Notice there is no "Queens County PD"...
The radio cars in your borough say NYPD on the side (In fact, the anti-terror facilities are in your borough, and Floyd Bennet is in Kings County), so it's NYC.
Most folks in Hoboken can see the Empire State Bld'g. close-up and personal from their
abodes, but they're in Jersey.
