Pics like that make me home sick!!! I took my drivers test (Auto and motorcycle) a few blocks down from there. I had my first car accident down the street too. You can give directions to anywhere down town starting with "from the NYMO building". A true centerpiece of Syracuse. Can't wait to get back home hopefully next summer, if the Army shall allow it.

Thanks! . . . I've sent it to our Art Deco fanatic in Australia and she, go figure, was off on a trip to see an art deco exhibit from London and declared this building spectacular!

Crusty, of COURSE!! And once I saw the building from the Dinosaur, I don't know how I've missed it in the past!

My only disappointment was that it was locked up tight (Sunday) so I couldn't go inside.

How come these educated designers/engineers can't build them like that anymore? New buildings truly suck!

Because they're engineers and not Art Majors? An engineer would likely look at all of that metalwork and consider it wasted material that served no structural purpose...

I dunno, some guys still build them cool-I'm not sure what art deco is but this building is awesome-my kids thought so too!
