So, seeing as how I finally got signed up for my Inside Pass Track Day for October 12 in NJ, I was marking my calander for the event, and noticed the Holiday that was marked there:

"Dia de la Raza (Mexico)"...or, "Day of the Race".

I thought that was pretty cool.

Turns out, this holiday has nothing to do with racing, but rather a celebration of the combined race of people that came about due to combination of the Native Americans in that region with the Spanish settlers. More or less the Mexican Columbus Day.

Anyways, the name is still cool and very fitting, I think.
