BeaveRun..... anybody ever race or do a track day there?

I am planning on running a race or two this "Sunday Sunday Sunday, if you're not there you better be dead or in jail"

Any tips? Whats the track like?
Does it have any elevation changes like Mid Ohio?
Any corners that sneak up on ya?

I cant find anything about the course. I'm off Sunday and was planning on going for a long ride anyway... If I can get a map, I'll be there!

What time are you running?

I live about 5 miles from the track.
We have raced karts on the Wilson track since the place opened.

The bikes are usually on the North track. Super Motard runs the kart track.

Check out the web site www.beaverun.com
There is a track map of the North track plus photos and videos.

Mark,

I've raced there and done track days there on multiple occasions. It's basically two long straights connected by several curves at the ends. Apparently, the area used to be a strip mine. They have a very nice facility.

Turn one is a classic "Alan Wilson" designed track that has a very tight turn. It seems that every track he designs has that "lovely" feature. The track is fairly safe, except for the last turn coming onto the front straight, you don't want to go down there. Overall, it's a very nice track and compared to Nelson Ledges, you'll think your on a Moto-GP track.

Best of luck!

Beaverun is the $hit!!!

I had a great time and got my first trophy.

I got 3rd in LWT Superstock and I am looking forward to going back.

In turn one I was shoulder to shoulder with another racer.... and I do mean shoulder to shoulder... as in touching.
Hey! I showed him my front wheel the pass was mine! If he didn't yield he would have been in the dirt or we both could have ended up a heaping pile-o-bike..... He decided to yield....

Mid Ohio, Wednesday.
Nelson Ledges, Sat & Sun.
Mid Ohio, Sept 20th & 21st
Nelson, Oct. 4th & 5th.

Track time is good time....

I'll be there for at least one of the Nelsons days this weekend, maybe both.

What time do you run on sunday? I know the saturday schedule.

Are you gonna do the 3 hr race on Sat? It's only money, poor people live without it.

No 3 hr for me.... I'm sure racing will start at about noon 30 or so.

I have no idea when the Buells take the track.... when I have time to look into it I will let you know.
