Attended the AHDRA Northwest Nationals last Saturday. Man, what a great day for racing! Slight overcast part of the day with temp's right around 85 degree's.

There were many Buell's there this year as usual. Most all were running between 94 mph - 136 mph in the 1/4. Its a cool sight to see, I can remember back 12 years or so when there was only 2 Buell's at the track, one racing and one that was visiting.

Check out the pix's I captured, there is several cool wheelie shot's along with a couple of Top Fuelie's all crossed up doin their thang!

Great pics Corso! shots 1203 (pg 15) and 712 (pg 4) sure show from a different vantage point the skill it takes in this sport. Thanks for sharing!

Great pics.

#46,51,137,146,169,175,172,177,193,194 and many more are all bikes that were built here at my shop. The hot street winner was just put back together last week and we didn't know if it would even make it until Monday!!

Thanks "D"! : )

Watching some of the rider's muscle the bikes down the track like they do is just insane!

Dan...

Very cool to hear that those were built in your shop. Did a great job! Glad that I was able to catch em on film for you to see!

you may remember that i was there visiting that day doing a piece on Kris and Arlie Becker for Thunder Press.

meeting you and our subsequent friendship (and getting you hooked on Buells), was an added bonus.

great pix! :-)

Yeah...

I do remember that day very well! I'm surprised you actually captured any shot's that day, think we B.S. most of it away! Do you recall what color the Buell was that was on the track?

Its kind of funny too, I have that other Buell sitting in my garage as I write (I remember drooling when I first seen it). Its not in its glory that it was then but, one day BLURR will ride again! : )

The pix's turned out pretty good this year I thought. I had to try something different this year. Used my monopod for 3/4 of the race. Because I used it, had to change my shooting style just a bit so I moved down the track a little further. I was hoping to catch a little more sense of speed in the shot's because of it.

I guess I'll cut you som slack, it was last century and you are getting old! : )

It was an yeller S2! If I remember correctly too, the owner of that yeller S2 actually rode it there that day and planned to ride it home after the race's.

That be the color and that is the exact way the gent's bike looked as he pulled it into the staging lane.Don't recall how well he did though? The S2 is the prettiest bike Buell Motorcycle has made. A classic work of art!

Did you by chance check this guy out? He's got it goin with that mohawk!

Yes, S2's are pretty, but I wouldn't want to be the guy on the 'pretty' bike
