and I want it! The XB12X looks sweet but I got keep the STT for the time being.

I love the STT but insurance is outragous and it real hard to carry much on it. I check and the Uly is about 1/3 to insure a year and all kinds of bags for it.

Maybe next fall I can pick one up...unless I sell the STT outright.

Man, you need to have a talk with your insurance company; that's nuts. Same engine/same frame; 3X the cost?

BTW- did you get a look at the new 09 footpegs? They're supposed to be grippier than the 06/07/08 units.

The pegs looked the same as 08 to me other than being black.

Insurance co says the STT is a race bike...got numbger plates and only one rider?!?! Sounds like a lot of crap to me as I checked BEFORE I bought the STT am the price was just at $300.00 but within a week I got a letter saying Opps we were wrong price goes up. I found another co but the price is still higher than I can stand, being a old guy with a spotless record.

insurance companies are always full of crap! They said my Ulysses was a hight performance motorcycle and wanted over $2000.00 a year for insurance so I switched companies. Still cost about $700.00 a year though.

I also saw the new 2009XT at the dealers on Friday and I liked it also except for the color. They would have to switch it back to black before I would buy it.

The new foot pegs are slightly sharper points on the edges which wold made it better for a foot grip and they are black which is a great color but I don't think I will switch out mine for them.

My local dealer has an 09 Uly. The clutch cable is routed thru a clamp on the handlebar cross bar, keeps the cable from blocking the odometer. The engine is wrinkle black and in a side by side test with an 08, the footpeg cleats do seem a bit sharper. Also the sidestand has a much larger foot.

Thanks for posting that. I wondered about the clutch cable, because I thought I noticed different routing in one of the pics on the Buell site. Also wondered about the foot pegs because they looked the same as the pre-'09 pegs.

Check with your dealer on insurance. HD works with a number of companies and I've always gotten excellent rates (and coverage) on all my Buells as well as my HD's. I'd post the 800 number but don't know if Blake would be OK with that...

I've been thinking for a while that with all of the work I dream about doing to my X1, that it would be more worthwhile to add an XB.

Today I saw a couple of '09 models at the dealer, then later browsed the Buell site.

I'm now lusting over a blacked out XB12SCG. ZTL2 braking standard now?! *drool*

Luckily, the illusion of maturity that I have tells me it will have to wait. With my first home purchase within the next 2 months, and still making payments on the X1 I can't justify a new Buell in the stable -
Yet!

I just noticed that all of the 2009 Buells get the ZTL2 brakes except the City X, Uly, and XT... I would think that they would put them on the X and XT due to the possibility of increased loads...

The Buell bazootie is welded on to the crossbar. So much for a lower handlebar! PLUS the '06 bazootie looked much better!

I like the black engine and black footpegs, the sidestand's larger foot should keep it from sinking, the clutch cable fix should have been on the 06's. Anybody heard if the 09's run better / get better fuel mileage? Is Buell offering any incentives on leftover 08 Ulys?

A thousand pardons to my friend the Bazootie maker!

Correction. I have an '07 Bazootie that was designed and made specifically to fit the '06 faster orange Uly!!
