does anyone know a fix for the factory mirrors on a s2. The stock ones have to be readjusteed every 15 minutes. I remember seeing something about using mirrors off of a snowmobile or jetski or something like that. | ||

I used a drop or two of Lok-Tite blue at the joints. They still can be adjusted but they don't go on auto-seek. By the way...new ones do it too. Only like $28 each...a good value. (Better than the $40 or more for S3) DAVe | ||

How do you get those cheap rubber boots back onto the lip at the mirror end? | ||

Hair drier to gently warm and soften up the rubber and maybe a little baby oil or dish soap is what I'd try. Wait for confirmation from someone else before doing this though. | ||

A very conservative spot or two of superglue only as needed. It's really only gluing to the plastic base of the mirror and not the bike fairing. Make sure they are warm...not cold when ya get 'em positioned. The rubber pieces don't even stay with new mirrors. DAve | ||

Rough up the threads with a little emery cloth (not to be confused with an emery board, for you Metros out there), clean with brake clean, then use the blue locktite. | ||

My pig can't get the front wheel off the ground. The only way that thing could do a wheelie is if you lifted the front end up with a jack. | ||

cracky! how's 'bout I come down to VA Beach and buy that 'pig' from you? Would be a good reason to finally visit my Sister's weekend home.  or you could scoot your bum back on the seat and dump the clutch in 1st -- bet it'd wheelie then. | ||

Chewy - "Allegedy" wheelies on an S2 are best accomplished with the bike rolling - get going in first gear, pull clutch, twist right grip, release left hand. Season to taste. Isn't yours T-Stormed? Oughta come up easier than a stocker, and mine does just fine, or so I've been told  as always YMMV. | ||

i once wheelied my S2 so far over on its back that i cheese-gratered the bodywork below the licence plate. what followed next, tho, was not at all pretty. Chewy, if your Thunderbolt won't loft the front end basically at will, ya gots problems. it's probably best you off the thing to one of us here on BADWEB for cheap, and apply the $$ towards a new Tuono or Duke. There were present, a group of hooligans who were no strangers at the fine are of rapidly converting what had just been a public road to a "closed course" and abusing same.
