That is an ugly shoulder, how did you manage that through the leathers?
How did the bike fair?

How fast was that "get-off" ? Your shoulder looks like you slid for a mile. Those are leathers right ? You didn't just paint a pair of Dr. Dentons did you ? Glad to see both rider and bike seem to be OK.

It looks like your leathers slid down your shoulder...........and bunched up on your arm.

I had a similar think happen with a cheap AGV suit about 8 years ago. I'd highly recommend a custom sized suit that is fit for your dimensions.

Buy the best gear. forget about the carbon fibre heel protectors and the billet dip-stick boys. The place to save some loot aint the gear dept.

I don't think the suit was faulty or anything. I think it was one of those freak things. There was NO rash any where else I don't believe (I didn't look that closely honestly.). The suit was almost completely undisturbed.

Looks like he landed 100% of his weight on his shoulder.

I wonder if one of the armored under suits might provide the inner protection.

the under armor stuff is made to transfer heat-its a two way street. If the heat's coming from the body it will "release" it to your suit then the atmosphere, if the heat is coming from your suit-well you see/felt the results...

"Thats 100mph tape when you are using it at the track"

Actually it was 140mph tape on the Niner.

Fatty, +1

I'll try to take a pic of the suit to show yall. It has a small scratch. It did not roll off my shoulder. The wound was created by the suit against my skin.

Where can I score shoulder pucks?

Or better yet, where can I score titanium shoulder pucks?

Friggin' right hand. : D

Barker's suit isn't baggy or ill fitting at all. The suit didn't fail or come apart.

It was just one of those weird things.

I almost think that they under armor stuff aided in allowing the suit to slide around and it shifted. I'd be willing to bet you that had you been wearing a long sleeved cotton t-shirt that didn't allow the suit to slide, you wouldn't have the damage you did.

Thanks for sharing.

Sucks that the strawberry may have been due to the under armor...that stuff is comfy.

just wondering. i had a buddy crash with leathers on. his under armor shirt melted to him. not like liquid shirt, but enough to pull at his skin to make him bleed a little. it looked a lot like what your arm looks like.
