I've been watching the WileyCo. Tube Frame muffler on eBay since about 20 minutes after it started. It listed with Buy It Now price of $150. Being the idiot I am, I didn't hit Buy It Now. Now the bid is up to $202.50 and I am still going to have to bid on the damn thing as I had one on my bike when I got it, but haven't seen one since. Why didn't I just hit the Buy It Now and save the damn money. Hell, who are the farking idiots bidding on it? Geez.. |

Look on the bright side, you just made someone's day a lot brighter But I also agree, how many bids have gone up past the buy it now and who in their right mind would set their proxy past it? |

Could have bid on the Borla that the same guy had. It ended for $122.50. That was a good deal. |

Yeah, people on ebay are amusing. I've seen items with a buy it now price go unsold while an identical item gets bid way over the buy it now of the first item. |

eBay never ceases to amaze me. I've sold some Cisco gear on there for the same price I paid for it -- 2 years ago |

I see Buell part selling for more than retail all the time, it really cracks me up. The one part that I see selling for more than it's worth is the XBR front fairing mount. I don't know how many times I've see it see for more than $200. Actually when I crashed my bike 3 years ago I got into a bidding war on one and I almost made the stupid mistake. That is, until, I made the call to my dealer to see how much it actually was. That's the one part that I'm glad I got over bid on and didn't win. I think it ended up going for ~$220. |

I've been known to play "rope-a-dope" with a competitive bidder just so they end up having to pay more than they would've otherwise. If you are going to be stupid, I'm going to make it hurt. |

I've seen used XB front brake rotors go for more than the price of a new one. It amazes me. |

Don't buy it ! I don't care how rare or cheap it is. Another one in better shape will come along soon enough, they always do. |

It's too late... I put one bid on more than what it was, and I ended up winning... I emailed the guy hoping he would be considerate on the fact that I missed out of the Buy It Now, and give me free shipping (still making $50 more than the buy it now). Nope. Oh well. Wait, doens't eBay have a thing where I don't have to pay for it anymore? Jim, I haven't seen anything on the site..or am I blind. And, can I get a turbo? |

Because you're all Buellers I'll give you one of my secrets ... If you wanna find good deals on ebay you misspell the name of the item you're looking for . |

CAREFULL of the WileyCo exhaust. i run one on my M2. However the first one I got was the kind where the elbow bolted to the can. The hanger bracket was weak and broke after a year. I did send pictures of the can to WileyCo and they sent me a new one (cost of shipping from Italy) which is an updated version. It has a better bracket and the can slips onto the elbow. Even with that, the from of the can cracked and I had it welded at a local shop. I also had them Slip a piece of pipe inside the can that is half as long as the can (eliminating have the packing from being used. It was a nice improvement in power, and sounds even better at WOT, while still retaining a quiet idle. |

Koz, that's what happened to mine! Hmm...do you have any internals of the pipe after the "fix," I'm curious. |

"I've been known to play "rope-a-dope" with a competitive bidder just so they end up having to pay more than they would've otherwise." I've been told to wait until the last second and then bid $1000.00. My fear is that If I do that the guy just ahead of me bid 800.00 and now I'm stuck paying $801.00 for a 20.00 part. Too much rope-a-doping going on. Oh, I have a Wiley Co pipe that the 1st owner had on the XB9. I dunno if it'll work for a tuber, but its there if somebody needs it. |

What M1 said has worked for me on Nikonos underwater cameras. Find some common mis-spellings and ONCE IN A WHILE, you'll find something listed that NOBODY is bidding on... worth a try. Wonder how to mis-spell Buell? Bull? (oops, other ebay listings there) Buel?? Shucks, gotta go give it a try. |
