My M2 is stuck in neutral. Any suggestions? Thanks Michael. (did anybody catch the reference to Flogging Molly?)

Sure- WITHOUT starting it, rock it back and forth, tapping the shifter up & down...
any luck?
Also- (Not joking) Check your belt.
Buell belts, when they break, usually do so upon startup clutch-release

I thought that you were supposed to do that on the right side of the bike!! Thanks for the tip!

Seriously, I need some help, could it be some sensor like the stand sensor or some thing easy to start checking on.

does your shifter move at all?

Do what Tramp suggests and see if it will go into gear with the engine off. If so then you may have a clutch issue.

I had a similar problem with my Cyclone. A piece of the primary belt tensioner broke off and become lodged in the guts under the primary cover in such a manner that the bike would no longer shift.

I had to fish out the offending bit of tensioner. It took longer to drive to the nearest dealer and secure the parts than it did to complete the repair.

Hope that helps.

So the black swamp brawler is back up and running? Cool. Sounded like an easy fix. Mine broke at about 15,000 but I think that may have been due to a little over-tensioning on my part.

That's a great place to start-and also not a bad thing to upgrade while you're there, as you're probably gonna have to pull the primary at some point.

The Black Swamp Brawler nearly got "Spidyed" at a stop sign yesterday evening on the shakedown cruise. SUV cut the corner short and nearly mashed me to smithereens.

The primary tensioner is a good place to start looking, especially if you have the old style one. Mine broke and luckily didn't send any of it's parts into the clutch, etc. The "new" style has a much thicker steel backbone and isn't as likely to fail. You could also have a problem with your shifter pawl. Taking off the primary cover should give you a good look.
