Battery is fully charged. Terminals cleaned. Starter terminals cleaned. Relay Clicks and I can hear a high pitch wine at the starter. But no starter movement. Bad starter? Really dirty power and/or ground cables preventing amp flow (been in deep mud holes) |

Probably bendex on starter stuck. Tapered slide gear that allows the starter gear to back out of the fly wheel. Solenoid lever and acceleration of starter motor lets the starter gear slide out and engage the flywheel. Dried mud makes shaft yecchy and sticky. Take the starter off, clean it out, lube the slide shaft, reinstall, ride in mud for a long time and many trips, repeat! If dried mud smells like poop, wash your hands before eating! |
