Sometimes you can use a big syringe(you can get one of those right?) and pump fluid in through the caliper and it will help remove stubborn air. Sometimes when the resevoir is at a funky angle, the air can get trapped around the top banjo fitting area and someone doing a little tapping while someone is pumping(or the velcro method) will loosen the offending bubbles. Of course you know that the smaller braided or kevlar line along with sintered pads will make the world of difference as well. Probably repeating stuff you already have heard but I had a minute.... |

Pammy; good to hear from you and thanks for chiming in. I always use a syringe for bleeding and bleed from the bottom up. While I can certainly get syringes , the one Bomber got me is the bees knees - thanks Bomber. It's a 50 cc syringe used for tube feeding and such. The tip is perfect; use a heat gun to heat some clear tubing and slip it on the tip. Works like a charm. I have a bleeder nipple in the banjo bolt of the master cylinder which helps, but often have to turn the bars and rotate the master to get the banjo at the very top to get air out of that bleeder nipple. I went with Galfer braided brake lines and Lindeman pads - those were all I could find at the time. I need to find out if Vesrah makes pads that'll fit the old PM calipers, or maybe check with American Sport Bike about Ferrodo pads. My rotors are Ferrodo after all (insert Homereque "DOH" here) I realize of course I'm now in full on patch violation, so fine away Henrik |

Henrik: It hurts me to do this . . . really it does. You're such a nice guy and even I confess to mile arousal when I started reading about the syringe. But you've done it. . . you've gone and taken another worthless thread and drug it into the dirt with useful, practical and valuable information. Just when I thought I'd taught you better. Well ya did it . . . . $10 to Blake for the fund. Don't make me cross the GGP and come find you! for those of you not from New York City the GGP is the Guinea Gang Plank or Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. (longest suspension bridge in America) |

Well, Court. I figured I had it coming. Don't play if you can't pay etc. etc. Last time I was fined, the judge told me to step to the left and pay the cashier. Where do I go for payment here? Pammy; I'm ok. Not riding nearly enough. Been busy with house renovations, friends and family visiting, work and all that. I did manage to pick up another (expensive) hobby though - like I needed more: SCUBA diving. Cool stuff. Me at about 80' at Ambergris Cays, Belize: Rick; I'm not sure "patient" gets even close to describing it - from the pictures the word "angel", at least, should figure prominently as well. Henrik |

Henrik: You and I are going to make a contribution to the BUELL RACERS CONTINGENCY FUND. I know where to find you and will collect your contribution later. Great SCUBA photo! I took the "plunge" a couple years ago for the first time in Hawaii and absolutely y loved it. Never gone again but what a rush! Eager to hear more, see you soon. Court |

Do you KNOW what fish DO in that water?! You would think that diving would be a hobby one who lives surrounded by water would relish...but not only no...HELL NO! Snorkeling is about the limit for me. Wes loves boats though. As long as they go faster than they should. He designed his own propellers on one of his faster boats....he has a sickness...It's a good thing that jets don't fly lower. Wes: "I know I can get in front of that if I just..." Anyway, it's great to see that you are enjoying life. Take care. |

Neil; good to be seen, and right back at you. Those were good times back at the Wilson ranch. I'm thinking it might even have been you that took this picture: Court; I will happily pay my fine. Let's meet up for dinner after August 19th. Do you KNOW what fish DO in that water?! Yeah Pammy - I believe it was WC Fields that woke us all up to that reality Snorkeling is cool too. And I can just see Wes fiddling with both motor and prop design, eeking every last ounce of power and speed from both. He's got that speed bug pretty good. Great to hear from you too. Henrik |

Did someone say party at Henriks?? Can I come?? I promise I'll be good----- Court,me and Henrik been losing weight so we can look good hanging out on the beaches in Belize. I am surprised they let any Americans in after we(bunch of damn firemen and assorted lowlifes) were there only a week or so before Henrik.Or that there was any beer left. |
