Good to hear everything's turning for the better.
my youngest spent three days in the hospital at a month old getting poked, prodded, and basically run through. Doctors were also non-chalant about it. It sucked, in order to keep from strangling them I just had to tell myself, "its not thier kid, they're just doing thier job." They basically told us the worst and we had to hope for the best, and while everything turned out OK for him on day four I still wanted to strangle them. Some doc's are good at helping/guiding parents through it, others not so much. |

I guess that it is just one of those times that makes the rest of the time w/ my children that much better. It made things worse since my wife is sort of in the medical feild, so she did all sorts of research on what the doctor said she might have..... oh that was a fun night... lol
on a side note. had three house showings yesturday, #35,36,37 hopefully one of these puts in an offer... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I WANT A GARAGE!!!! |

Adam,
Glad to hear all is well with the little one.
I know how these scares feel. Our 16 month old little girl, Shelby, spent father's day weekend in the hospital.
She had a few seizures thrusday and friday prior. It was one of the scariest things I have ever experienced.
Turned out she is suseptible to Febrile seizures, so we just have to be careful when she starts getting a fever, and monitor it VERY closely. |

Blackbelt- glad to hear everything's OK. I'm convinced the two most stressful things in life are raising children and seeing parents through their final years. Most of us make it through both of these somehow. |

Now that things HAVE turned out OK, I have to say that it pained me to read that you HAD to go and raise hell with them to get their attention... and yes, when it's your FAMILY at stake, that is EXACTLY what you have to do. Just a shame that you (and so many others) are put in that position by the low-buck insurance companies and medical mis-management (sorry about the rant).
So glad that we can now kid around about this because it's NEVER too early to start worrying about the guys she's going to be dating!!!!  |

when my daughter was born i literally had to knock down the door to the doctors office to get him to come out and deliver her.
he had given her potasum(sp) to speed up the labor and then locked himself in there to have dinner with his family. my daughter was on her way out and the nurse(that i had actually known most of my life) couldnt get him to come out.
thats not cool, i dont care who you think you are.
i pounded on the door a few times and told him to get his a$$ out and deliver my daughter but he wouldnt. i told him if he didnt come out i was going to come in.
those hospital doors are well built i can tell you that! i broke the damn door and door frame getting that thing knocked open, lol. needless to say he delivered my daughter and shortly there after was fired.
and no, for some reason the hospital didnt come after me for damages. wonder why that was....... |
