The schedule for the dealer show is out and there is a "walkaround" scheduled for the new Buell motorcycle. Just sayin... maybe a new blast! Yet another reason I love Buell so much, the anticipation, excitement and possibility of something remarkable every year. |

Dont know about shocking new announcements for the Blast, We have on the showroom floor now and from every aspect I can see, looks dead on to a 2008 Model. In even new exciting color of.... wait for it.... BLACK. Already had 2 credit apps, its Biker Bingo here, whoever brings the money first gets it. Its like Christmas in July... They wont be having an exciting walk around of anything for the dirt R.I.P. Rooster |

Do you reckon one day we might get over all the secret squirrel acts. Maybe because I see so many of them, but why not just say - hey, we're building a .... and it will be available .... ? I reckon more transparent would stimulate more interest over time than the big bang theory. (Message edited by danger_dave on July 15, 2008) |

Shame that the "walkaround" couldn't happen with the 800+ hardcore fans in attendance. |

Dave's right, if I'd known the XT was coming out I'd waited and plopped down about $5000.00 more to get that than my STT. I love the STT but the XT would suit what I wanted much better. I can't blame Buell or the dealer after all they gotta sell what they built and have on hand but...maybe in a year or so. |

Which, Birdy, is EXACTLY why they don't do what DD suggests. (But I too would love to see it.) |

I heard at Homecoming from one of the Buell employees that the Blast remains unchanged for 09 but that could have been speculation on his part. Shame that the "walkaround" couldn't happen with the 800+ hardcore fans in attendance. If you're referring to Homecoming, I agree. That was a nice ending to the event in 07 when they unveiled the 1125. I was hoping it was the start of a trend but alas, it was not. (Message edited by ferris_von_bueller on July 15, 2008) |

I suppose there is the 'not letting your competitors know what is up' angle too. But some of it has become almost comical with dressed up mules to throw MCN off the track in Europe. Here I sit embargos akimbo. |

Take the point reg, just pondering, what about if Triumph had come right out and said 'We're building a big parallel twin' 12 months ago - maybe people would have delayed a purchasing decision on a competitors product in the lead time. |

All I have heard is "2009 Buell Uly: All New with 125hp Rotax Engine." And something about a "the 250's" ??????? Well crap. I knew shoulda held out for a 09 ULY. |

Maybe because I see so many of them, but why not just say - hey, we're building a .... and it will be available .... ? That would have either made them committed to the dirt bike, or they would have looked very bad. I don't like it either. |

Standard answer to my sniffing is usually: 'The dealers HAVE to know first' I can understand that too. |

>>>>Sea foam Green & Fuschia Plastics... THE "Sea Foam" Buell. . . (I have at least 50 pics) may have been one of the best looking Buells ever made. When I heard from Amy that she was going to have the IMS display Racing S-1 painted Sea Foam Green I about vomited. Then I saw the bike and was in lust. If I were doing an S-1 at this moment that'd be a candidate color. How many folks here (Reg is ineligible) recall that bike? |

It wasn't Okra Green? I've heard the new 1125RT will be available in a metallic okra green for 2009! |

Aren't Green Bikes Bad Luck... The other one is you shouldn't Ride Green bike unless you been down.. I'm thinking Okra Green would negate the bad Juju.. |

I remember seeing an RS1200 painted Sea Foam Green at Homecoming in 1999. It looked pretty good. I've never seen it since, though. |

I can understand Buell wanting to keep things quiet until an official release of '09 models, but I thought there were more hints last year that something new was on the way (which turned out to be the 1125r). Is it just me or is there a distinct lack of rumors this year? I know there's been a lot of joking around about "bold new colours" and I keep wishing for an 1125s Lightning, but there doesn't seem to have been anything really hinted at since the dirt bike was squashed... Could this mean there isn't anything *really* big this year (pretty hard to follow up on the 1125r last year, in my very humble opinion) or is Buell being very good at keeping things very quiet until official release this year? (Hmmm... something remarkable...? ) |

A top tier Buell employee told Tony at Homecoming the dirt bike is dead. I doubt he would mislead. Ashame, too...get em while they are young and they will be yours forever |

I think the fact that there's a walkaround scheduled means there's *something* beyond bold new colors for '09. What it is? No clue. Remember...it was only 24 hours before the dealer show that the 1125r video was leaked last year..... |
