I made it safe and sound for phase II of my summer plans: San Diego. I made the trip from Mexico, MO to San Diego, CA in 37 hours. Not my best time by far, but I was travelling with 4 kids, the wife, and towing my firebolt. Plans for the next 4-5 weeks include visiting Al and Joanne at American Sport Bike, re-visiting some of my favorite riding roads, and hanging out with my friends that still live out here. If you live in the San Diego area and want to get together either post here, PM me or something. I really enjoy getting to meet other BadWeBbers so if you see me out riding don't be afraid to flag me down! It will be easy to identify me, my bike is distinctive:  I also need recommendations on which HD/Buell dealer I should visit in regards to the Firebolt light bulletin. | ||

Diablo. Great to see you are in my neighborhood. If you have plans to come up to LA give me a call (626) 646 8115 and let's do a ride! Glendora Mountain and Hwy 2 calls you! I've always had good experiences with the Downtown San Diego Harley location. Some days there's more Buells parked out than than Harleys.. I live right down the street from the kearny mesa location but whenever I go there for parts they just send to to the Downtown one. Where are you staying? I'm in North Clairemont. I'm crazy busy for the next week but I'd love a chance to check out that fine machine. Been itching to hit Palomar mtn too. (Message edited by nik on July 13, 2008) | ||

I'm in North Clairemont too, staying at my father-in-law's house (just south of the 52 and west of the 805) So you'll probably see me running around Nik. I'm also looking forward to hitting the 94 and looping back up through Julian.... Not to mention Palomar (both grades) amd the Ortega highway! I have to visit with relatives too though, you know, all work and no play..... |
