Ok here is the scoop.

In february of this year i bought a IDS supertrapp muffler on Ebay for 200 bucks, When i recived it Tony (spidy) told me it was an older model that was discontinued. I didn't think anything of it. Well i rode the bike from March to june, when i noticed the rear mounting bracket was broken (while at work) so i had to get to an autoparts store to buy some sort of fixer to limp 70 miles home.

I contacted supertrapp and they proceded to dance around the warrenty, stating that because they stopped making that particular muffler that the warrenty is no longer valid. Well my in house attorney told me that if i bought it brand new, never used then the warrenty sticks by Law. So I informed them of this, and they sent me a replacement updated bracket free of charge... which i was happy with.

Until 1 month after installing the new braket, IT TOO BROKE!! Improved model bracket, LOL NOT!

not only did the new rear bracket break, but the muffler seperated from the elbow, and the baffle set screw broke loose....

I immedietly tore the P.O.S. off the bike and replaced it with my stock pipe, stating "I am never buying a POS supertrapp again!"

my wife told me that i should file a complaint with the Better Buisness Bureau. So i did, never done that before not knowing what to expect.

In the report i stated that i didn't want anything for free, just wanted the company to know that their warrenty practices need work... and their costomer service also...

Well loe and behold today (1 month after fileing the complaint) i recieved a BRAND NEW IDS SUPERTRAPP MUFFLER in the mail...

SO IT WORKED, i jsut wanted to post this information incase others had problems with other products. The Better Buisness Bureau ROCKS!!!

They have online complaint forms.. that is what i used... don't expect immediate results, like i said mine took just over one month... and i didn't expect to recive anything..

The question now needs to be asked:
Are you going to install the new 'trapp, or sell it as new on E-Bay?
And if you install it and it breaks again what will your next step be?

well i can't complain.. cause it was free.. but it shouldn't cause it is the Buell Pro slip on...
and that is a good pipe... the other was a crappy 2 peice design..

but no i want to put it on, cause i liked the supertrapp sound.. if it breaks... then i go to a D&D.... that be that

I ended up using the BBB to get Hacienda HD/Buell in Snottsdale, AZ, to re-imberse me for the hose job they did on the rear brakes on my S2. They somehow lost the key to my gastank while it was locked and did NOT offer to replace it but did offer to drill it out. Can you believe that? They came through AFTER the BBB got to them. I will NEVER do business there again. Them $#*&%^%$^# !!!

Bad thing is ya gotta watch who ya pizz on, because another dealer might not be for 30-100 mi away.

I only wish ya could say they tried their best to help me.
