This is my friend Brian's UJM collection.
The Red K1 is one the original 300 sand casts. The Triumphs belong to Chris.

I call the place 'the facility'.

He buys them in poor condition and restores.

He changed focus from that a few years ago and races a Z1 in the post classics. won the national champs for the second time this year.

The Red K1 750 is one of the first 300 of one the most significant motorcycles ever. It's the standout of the collection.

The CX Turbo gives me something to poke fun at while I'm there.

Honu,

That is an awesome picture of one of the old XL'S. My first bike was a '73 XL250 in that same color scheme with a Hooker header.

Due to a technical mishap all of my old pictures got burned.

Vern,
That bike ended up with a Hooker Header on it also, plus preston petty fenders, knobbies, and all street gear removed. Raced MX on it till I got a 74 CR 125.

Hooker Header, Preston petty fenders
Their names I havent heard for a while. I had a 68 Yam DT 250 with Hooker Headers and Preston petty front fender and a GYT kit, got it used in 72-73 when it was uncompetitive in MX, It had a powerband like a light switch. With the power on in long sweeping curves, it would suddenly go Zing and then follower by either a low side or a high side, I had welded on metal footpegs and I still got the scars on my shins 35 years later (yes I know ATGATT) but that was before good gear was readily available, wish I still had it now.

I have one of those 65cc Sports in my garage now. It was the first bike I ever shifted gears on. My original is gone but I saw one at an antique meet about 15 years ago (same year, same size) and picked it up. Anyone interested in it ?
