As you already know. If you registered for Homecoming you got a ticket to get into Summerfest. Now the question I have is how many or who's planning rather to purchase a concert ticket to see one of the main headliners while they are there. Group's like Stone Temple Pilots,RUSH,Tom Petty and a host of others. Friday July 4th they have a awesome Fireworks display also. Please post and let me know.

Do you not get into the concerts with just the general admission Summerfest tickets anymore? Pardon my ignornace but it has been 20 years since I last went to Summerfest. At that time all the concerts were free inside the grounds.

Sorry but no. Lots of bands you can see. But the major headlining bands you need to go on line and purchase a ticket for. I'll tell ya though they are well worth it.

There will be a limited number of free lawn seat tickets (wristbands) the day of the show for STP. Same deal for Mellencamp, Steve Miller, And Rush.

Mainly from the website. If your on the main page check the music note on the side, click on the Marcus Amphitheater section. It gives you the list of free shows, among other information.
Also I play and have played in bands and work sound at some stages there so I get some info.

Ya thats the major problem with the whole deal, especially on weekends or a day like the 4th when most people are off. They get eaten up pretty quick!
