Notice how I captured the shadows...

Look at that detail!

I've been experimenting with that too, with results not nearly as good as yours, but getting better.
I'm mostly concentrating on trying to drop the camera instead of the bike (and ol' Ed)

Can't you see the sparks coming off of Jimduncan69's titanium pucks?
I thought I captured the moment very clearly.

It sure would be easier if they made a left hand camera.
Using the throttle lock, holding the camera, getting the subject in the frame and riding the WV twisties
proved to be beyond my riding skills.
MUST PRACTICE!

Most cameras have a 1/4"-20 threaded hole in the bottom for mounting to a tripod. Turns out there is a Ram-Mount ball with that exact thread stud on it. Spend a little on some Ram-Mount stuff and the camera will stay in place. Leave the mount a little loose for some adjustment room and smap the picture without worrying about dropping the camera.

I haven't trid this yet, but I'm looking to.

That doesn't sound like fun..... I like the challenge of the balancing act.

I'll look into the ram mount.....

I can take stills. I just reach down and push the button, but I usually take video:

Ft

What camera are you using? Media? Etc?

Nice video, like the part showing forks compressing, must have been some heavy breaking.

It's a Cannon SD400 still camera. The actual quality is much better. Google Video compresses the hell out of the videos.

I can get 80min of video on a video card.

I wish i still had them, but i had some of the originals that Ft_bstrd filmed at MBV. They look great, especially when you factor in its from a point and shoot.

I keep a camera in the tank bag.

Of course this approach can have its drawbacks.
