For Homecoming this year, I'm thinking of pitting by the Buell Hospitality Tent. I spoke with Henry Duga this past weekend at the AMA/Moto-ST races at Road America. He said he believes it will be set up in the same spot as last year. Crest of the big hill running along the front straight. This way you're pitted in the grass, but still have the asphalt road. Worked out pretty good this past weekend.Autograph session is from 11:00am to 11:45am on Saturday. Remember to scribble your name. That way no one will know if you're famous or not.
Last year we set up on the asphalt and man was it hot and crowded. I'd like to be closed to the Buell happenings being it's the 25th and all, and I can't attend any of the events.
I just think it would be kick @ss to have the Buell tent surrounded by Buell race bikes.

Thanks for the heads up, Rocco, Troy Walbaum #143, XB12R and I will be arriving on Friday so we'll look for you!!

We pitted two rows away from the Buell truck accidently last year, as we set up before the truck arrived. It was cool having Buell folks stopping by.

is spectator camping allowed at the track? i am riding up from louisiana for homecoming and camping is much cheaper than hotels. i would probably try to camp fri and sat nights at RA. maybe someone needs a pit hand. if so, let me know.

R.A is very weird about camping. During the AMA races last weekend, you could camp. They have spots throughout the grounds and have nice bathrooms with very nice showers. Last year, during Homecoming/CCS races the didn't allow spectator camping, but if you were there racing, you could camp. So my suggestion is bring a tent and sleeping gear, and I'll make sure you have a spot to set up in and around the Buell pits. Who's to say your not a crew member?!

And we can always use help in the pits. Trust me.

AS you can see, spectator camping is not allowed that weekend. So who wants to join the "pit crew" for the weekend!?

You'll already have the passes to get into the track from Homecoming.

You guys know that if I'm at the track and you need a hand I'm there.

I may be a gimp, but there is a lot I can (and have had to) make happen as a lot of the
guys in the pits have seen over the past couple of years...this year was pre-empted by
my brother Michael's change of employment....we are anxious to get back into it....

Anyway, the racers for the most part know me and should not feel at all bad about grabbing
me to help them during homecoming. In fact I'll be at Blackhawk for the track day and
I'll offer the same help to anyone there that wants or needs help there.

Any and all help is welcomed not only by me, but I know many, if not all, fellow Buell racers can use an extra set of hands and eye's in the pits. A lot of us do this with little or no help, so the more, the better.

Hey Guys, Seth #148 and me #808 will be heading to Road America again this year. We were pitted at the end of the front straight by ourselves last year. It would be fun to be around other Buellers.

Greg. I wish I could have made it, but I got WAY to much crap to do at home. Plus riding home from Road America Saturday night after the AMA/Moto-ST races in that frickin' storm was all the excitement I could stand on 2 wheels for a while.

I can't tell people where to set up, but by all means Pete, you guys gotta get in the mix with the rest of us.

Tim have you talked with Bud??

Wish i would have known more and bought two passes... I would have transferred mine to you! But talk with Bud, he's helped Matt and I out in the past. Hoping next year is better and I have my own track bike.

When you leaving for HC??

Rocco,
When will you arrive at R.A.? How about making up an inexpensive sign at the intersection as you drive in so Buell folks will know where to pit?

Maybe use a Buell race banner?

We'll be heading to Road America Thursday about Noon.
Will this sign do?

It's actually Coolice's sign that I babysat at the last race weekend. I'm sure he'll want it back after the R.A weekend, but it should do the trick. Has post's and everything!
