I keep 'accidentally' clicking on a thread that argues one brand of motorcycles against the other...and, of course, it's devolved into grown men yelping about who rides better than whom, or how one brand is far superior to the other. Please: if you haven't ridden with each other, out here in the world, check your hubris at the door. I feel deep embarrassment for people who have to chime in and dress down other posters for having the audacity to challenge the opinions of one whom they consider to be the final authority. At ease, ladies- It's only motorcycles. Let your real-time riding skills speak for themselves.  We share such an excellent past time, and I've been absolutely thrilled and impressed to see the skill level of many badwebbers, out in the twisties, who would never open their virtual mouths about their riding, here on the boards. Why anyone would ever state with any certainty that rider B , with whom they've never ridden, couldn't keep up with rider A, their friend, is beyond me. Praising your friends' abilities is a wonderful thing- admonishing others, about whose riding you know little, is very much another. (Message edited by tramp on June 08, 2008) | ||

Personally, after riding up to Suches I know without doubt that I cannot ride worth crap. It is incredibly humbling to see a guy coming around a corner noticeable faster than you on a bicycle. Luckily he was going in the opposite direction so he didn't have to go around me. | ||

If testosterone games, for you, exist on a computer, then the situation, clearly, speaks for itself. Real riders make assessments of skill out in the world, not on the keyboard. How do you negotiate the twisties while waving those pom-poms?  | ||

"Glitch", please- save the cronyistic assertions. One of the few poor qualities of this site is the unending need for the died-in-the-wool Buellers to tear into anyone whom may support another mount...esp. when it devolves into blind criticisms of the other rider's skills. | ||

I don't think I've ever bragged about my riding ability here or on any motorcycle forum - I let my ability speak for itself with the people who I'm lucky enough to ride with. I will say this though... the best professional racers all believe that at some point on a given day, they have the ability to be better than anyone else on the planet... ...but a lot of mid-packers and squids believe that too. | ||

Well I don't know about the best bike but I can honestly say I destroyed a Honda with mine even if it was a civic he had to be towed along witt the Volkswagon and I drove home ONCE again America has triumphed over the AXIS powers. and I shit my pants | ||
