I was about to order some Kellerman 1000 led signals from American Sport Bike. but $68 each light? oh crap. so I'm asking for other alternatives that people here like. Thx |

cheap mini stalks http://www.newenoughhp.com/browse/view_product_ima ges/584 I got mine at a local import place for about $35/pair. Whole set was just a couple bucks more than one Kellerman (Message edited by not_purple_s2 on June 09, 2008) |

I don't have a link handy, but I've been considering the LED dual-channels that I've seen here and on ebay. Arrow-shaped, either red/red, amber/red, single channel red or single channel amber. I'm thinking about the amber/red as rear turn/brake lights and IIRC they're $69/pair. |

They aren't cheap either, but I'm running the Rizoma LED signals. |

Hey Not...are those dual filament? I bought some identical to those off ebay. They were dual filament and the housings started melting. Garbage. (Message edited by firebolt32 on June 09, 2008) |

Mine aren't dual filament, they are only on when I'm turning, so there's no problems with heat. If you want to use running lights then spend the extra money for LED's (they run cooler) |

I knew that, I just figured since the damn things were designed to run while the bike is on that they wouldn't melt. I wont figure next time. |

I got a set of Kellerman's (in excellent shape) used from Dana. I love them. I'm waiting to find another set used. Hopefully I can get all 4 for about a hundy. Once you go to an aftermarket, you're gonna absolutely hate the "bug antenna" stockers. |

I got some Lockhart minis and flushmounts on my bike. They were cheap and the light they emit is feeble, especially in the daylight. If the more expensive signals are brighter, they'll be worth it. |

I use Shock Racing mini 9's. They are a small, but not too small LED, all aluminum and very brite. Widely available, they cost $34 per pair. They replaced the Mini 1's which were a bit fragile. American Sport Bike has a flasher relay that will slow the blink rate of all Led signals, and it is plug and play. The home brew enthusiast will just wire a ten ohm, ten watt wirewound resistor across both the right and the left signal circuits. |

What I REALLY want is a set of front amber driving lights that will stay on as running lights and function as a turn signals.... |

The kellermans seem like high dollar. But they are not cheap platic crap, nice billet METAL. they are good quality signals. I have them on my x-1 and like them. The stock ones seem like cheap junk compared. Buy cheap junk and replace them, or get the good once once. support Al, he is a good guy. Ducxl, change the flaher relay, it will slow em down |

The dual element LED arrow shaped signals that Ratbuell mentioned work great and are a quality machined aluminum housing. Red/amber for the rear and amber/amber for the front signals. I've had the rear signals for 6 mths and am now installing the dual function fronts. Plan on powering the amber front running light circuit off of the unused "parking light" circuit in the 12s light housing. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ewItem&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AVRI&viewitem=&item =360058583161&rd=1 |
