Just got this in my inbox... i am not thrilled....
As I do 99% of my purchasing online, this severely affects me. Hell i guess i will have to get a PO Box or something in Connecticut, since its only about 10 minutes from me. Which politician's ass do i have to kick for this? | ||

Creative use of Affiliate marketing in order to collect sales tax. As a result of the law overstock did the following. On a side note I do shopping online as well, but a lot of times the local places where close enough if you actually computed in the tax and the like so while it does suck, with the rising cost of Fuel, the taxes are going to look cheap compared to Delivery costs  Or something like that. | ||

just hake yourself an LLC and file for exempt or resale and sell a couple things | ||

as for the LLC, heck be like us and Be an ISP, anything used in the provisioning /running of an Internet service is Tax Exempt as well | ||

The Iowa retailers have been screaming about this for several years. It won't be long before all the states do. The reason I like the online sellers is that they actually have a selection that you can choose from. Most shops around here just don't have the market for much choice. | ||

I think the mailboxes etc. stores give you a street address. Had a cousin that used them as he traveled all the time with his sales job. | ||

If one was to opt for a P.O. Box. Do a double take and your self a favor. Use a MBE or similar as they are treated as a street address. Cost is the same as a P.O. Box and the service is way better. as a side note, shipping to you can be cheaper. It is considered a business address. | ||

A lot of us have been dealing with similar situations for years. If you live on the west coast, almost all of the .coms have operations in our states. Hence you get stuck with local sales tax. Here locally I pay over 9% for that fine "privilege" | ||

Wisconsin has been talking about collecting back sales taxes for years from mail order and on-line sales. | ||
