Might not be new to everyone, but it's new to our online store. Here's a quick pic:
It's a flex-fit hat, so no snaps in the back, just elastic. This, and many more exciting Buell items, are available at www.libertyharley.com/buell. ->ChelleM |

That looks like one of those hats you're supposed to wear sideways, along with matching jogging suit & 10lbs of bling. |

Um, I guess you could wear it that way if that's your thang. But the jogging suit and the bling are sold separately. ->ChelleM |

The first hat was $6. No big deal. Added second hat, add $3 for shipping! I shipped an 11 pound box that is 34" x 21" x 6" the same distance for less than $7. I ship FedEx everyday from my business. |

Guys, jeez, I'm sorry about the shipping! It's a simple little cart that's free, allowing me to discount the actual merchandise 10% for online shipping, and the freight calculation isn't based on zipcodes or weight, just price. I took an average of how much it costs to ship across the country, and kinda guessed at how much it would be. Some people who order from California get charged roughly the same as people who live closer. To integrate things like weight of each item and recipient zip code into the little shopping cart would raise the cost of the entire endeavor. When I talk to the shipping guy, I will find out what the cost is and issue a credit for the difference. Sorry for all the ruckus. Just trying to keep overall costs reasonable. ->ChelleM |

And for the record, I just did a quick price inquiry on UPS.com (we use UPS) and here's what it came out with: Ship From: RAHWAY, 07065, UNITED STATES Ship To: *************, UNITED STATES Shipment Date: Monday, May 26, 2008 1 Total Shipment Weight: 1 lbs. Daily Pickup: No Drop-off / Pickup: I will drop off my prepaid package(s) Find Locations Address Type: Residential Number of Packages: 1 Modify Shipment Information View Package Detail Service Details UPS Ground -zone3 Guaranteed By: By End of Day Thursday May 29, 2008 Package 1 UPS Ground 8.25 USD Delivery Area Surcharge - Rural Extended 2.35 USD Fuel Surcharge 0.82 USD Charges Per Package 11.42 USD Shipment Total: 11.42 USD Granted, our price will be slightly better since we operate under some sort of contract, but it looks like that price isn't that unusual. What the heck is a "rural surcharge" anyway? ->ChelleM |

I must be so out of the loop, I have no idea what you guys mean. It's a navy blue hat that says "Buell" repeatedly, and then has embroidered "Buell" in front of it. I don't get it. What makes it look so hip hop??? ->ChelleM |

What the heck is a "rural surcharge" anyway? That's what you get when you live in the middle of no where. A ups driver makes around 25-26 bucks an hour or so. If ups has to send him 20 minutes off his normal route for one delivery then another 20 minutes to his next stop, ups wants you to pay part of his salary to sit there and do nothing for 40-45 minutes. PS- check into fedex ground. that's who I use for ground shipping and their prices are usually a bit cheaper than ups. |

Chellem, if the cost to ship is $11.42, bill me for that amount. I ordered them, I'll pay for them to be shipped. I'm just strongly suggesting that you check into using FedEx. UPS is out of control on their rates, even though UPS says they have the same rates as FedEx. I've had a regional UPS sales guru in from 2 hours away trying to beat my FedEx rate and he can't touch it. The key is you gotta ask for the discount. If you just accept what they offer, they win. Badlionsfan has it right. I may not "live in the middle of nowhere", population 2,000, 10 minutes from the UPS terminal, but I'm not in the same town as the terminal either. There are 2 UPS trucks that service my town, so apparently they think it's worth their time/effort to come to my little town. BTW, the shipping address provided is my business address, not a residence. UPS should have that in their records as I ship UPS on the rare occasion and have an account with them. |

"What makes it look so hip hop??? " Split front panel over the bill with the graphics on one side only, all one-raised-eyebrow-like. One size fits all - doesn't. Looks like a nice hat though and I'm sure you'll sell all you've ordered. |

Toona- Just an update on the shipping total - it wasn't $11.42 - we do have a slight discount over the published rates - but they did charge us the rural extended surcharge, and the shipping did exceed what was charged to you, so I'm afraid there's no refund due. Just wanted to follow up and let you know that I did look into it further. Sorry the shipping is so high, but I'm afraid that's kinda out of my hands, at this point anyway. Unless when we finally get the bill, they applied an additional discount, which they do sometimes based on volume, but I won't know that for some time. Sorry again, ->ChelleM |

Chellem, if there is a balance due for shipping, let me know. I will make it right. |

Absolutely not necessary. As I said somewhere above, the little shopping cart we use doesn't calculate shipping based on distance or weight - it's an estimate. Sometimes we estimate a little low, sometimes maybe a little high. That's why if it was going to be high, I wanted to make sure that *I* made it right. Hopefully in the end it all averages out. I have, BTW, gotten a quote for shipping contract from Fedex. But so far, doesn't look that much better. This gas crap is for the birds. They need to figure out how to deliver packages on a Blast. Thanks for the offer though - I do appreciate it. ->ChelleM |
