Not many things that I won't eat and enjoy but Okra makes that short list. At it's best Okra is vile and disgusting stuff. No doubt, some sort of punishment of the gods.

Now hot dogs on the other hand....hmmmmm

A question for the artist on the above subject. Do not squid, and octopui have one eye, as opposed to the two eyed carvings seen above?

Perhaps I am being over critical of the "Oscar-Mari"......sorry!

Octopus has two eyes and three hearts, nothing weird about that.

Okay- I have been here for a few years and there is some inside joke about okra. Can someone please explain?

As my kinda/sorta explanation: It is a "house controversy" at Badweb. The origins pre-date the Grand Canyon when it was a little meandering stream.

For those of us like me who love arguing just for the sake of arguing - EVERYBODY has an opinion on okra.

That's only MY explanation.

Dave Stueve loves the stuff - and except for that one fact, he's not a bad guy!

Once upon a time, my brothers, there roamed a matchless fellow on these boards, named Daves.

He could ride and shoot, and from what I am told, breath underwater for extended periods of time.

He was a fearless proponent of Okra, ate it every morning before heading afield.

As you can see, it was a exceedingly nourishing breakfast.

sss

plagerism police be damned

Do you like
okra, eggs and ham?

I do not like them,
Sam-I-am.
I do not like
okra, eggs and ham.

Would you like them
here or there?

I would not like them
here or there.
I would not like them
anywhere.
I do not like
okra, eggs and ham.
I do not like them,
Sam-I-am.

Would you like them
in a house?
Would you like them
with a mouse?

I do not like them
in a house.
I do not like them
with a mouse.
I do not like them
here or there.
I do not like them
anywhere.
I do not like okra, eggs and ham.
I do not like them, Sam-I-am.

Would you eat them
in a box?
Would you eat them
with a fox?

Not in a box.
Not with a fox.
Not in a house.
Not with a mouse.
I would not eat them here or there.
I would not eat them anywhere.
I would not eat okra, eggs and ham.
I do not like them, Sam-I-am.

Would you? Could you?
On a Buell?
Eat them! Eat them!
Here they are.

I would not,
could not,
on a Buell.

You may like them.
You will see.
You may like them
in a tree!
yadda yadda yadda

You do not like them.
So you say.
Try them! Try them!
And you may.
Try them and you may, I say.

Sam!
If you will let me be,
I will try them.
You will see.

You will like okra, eggs & ham on a Buell
