Hi guys, after not being able to power wheelie with my 97 S1 anymore, I decided to check some things out. Timing, and the coils/ plugs wires.

I checked the coil resistance..and it checks out fine. I then proceded to check out the timing....only to discover that I have a mis every once and a while.

I understand it fires twice evertime, but shouldn't it be an even flashing from my timing light?

I get 10 or so nice even flashes, and then one that skips a flash on my light. Tried both plug wires..thinking maybe the wires are junk (they are new). Both front and rear cylinder do this.

Is this a normal Buell/ Harley thing?

If not, what in the world would cause this? The bike does vibrate like crazy at idle. (which makes sense if I have a miss fire every once and a while)

Any and all help you can give would be great.

(I posted this here, because it seems most people only go into the knowledge vault if they have a problem or question.) At least my posts get read in here!

Thanks again!
JayB
