Yep, these guys are, once again, going out of their way to help someone they have never met. It is no surprise to me, I have met both of them - real stand-up guys. But my friend Mike (BuffaloBolt) decided to ride the PCH, starting from Buffalo, New York, and despite his best efforts, the middle of his rear tyre wore out before the edges (AND of course, before he could get back here) They are taking time to try to find him a Conti Road Attack in Iowa and help him get it changed. I'm sure they can find him something with tread that will work not (cough) Dunlop...

Again, a big thanks from me (and Mike)

ooooops... LOL. You need a turkey Call ringer.

Oz, Hope your buddy gets fixed up. I'll be passing though your next of the woods in July. Ann and I are riding out to NYC via Niagara Falls and the Catskills. Its good to know there are people like you and Mike and Dave are out there.

PS - Ann has her own bike now - a blast. She rode it to work today. : ) Good to see you on the board.

I got a call from BuffaloBolt and his tire wasn't going to make it here. He bought a

Dunlop, oh, oh, now you guys are really going to razz him. But hey, when you are on the road you have to take what you can get. He was in South Dakota.

I'm hoping that maybe he'll write a little story for the Tale Section when he gets back.

Is the Dinosaur in Rochester as good as the Dinosaur in Syracuse?

Matt-
He wasn't bashing bashing Dunlop, but I do hear it all the time. Personally, I haven't had problems with them but maybe I just don't ride as hard as other do. Heck, when we were down in Arizona I was casually riding around a 50mph sweeper when FerrisBueller and Di blew by me on his FJR. That guy's riding ability really raised the hair on the back of my neck.

I still haven't heard from BuffaloBolt where he's at now.

Crusty,
The food is just as good, but I do miss the rotatin waitresses from Syracuse.

The one in Manhattan might be closest to you. I haven't been......yet

Iamike, I was just trash talking. Oz and I are less than 100 miles apart, funny how the first place I met him was appleton wisconsin : )

I made it back! Thanks for everyones help!

I didn't see this post when I got back. Aaomy sent me an e-mail last night asking about the tire, and said he had heard about it here.

I got back about 5:30 am on the 11th. I would have really like to have made it to Waterloo to get that Metzler. But when I made it to Rapid City the tread was down to about 5 thousandths, and I still had 500+ miles to Waterloo. With my luck being what it is, I figured that it would blow out in the middle of SD, and my tow bill would be twice what any tire would cost me!

Mike, I meant to give you a shout when I went through to buy ya a cold one. But ended up stopping for the night, late, in Charles City. Went through Waterloo early Saturday. Which after reading these posts, you were probably waiting for an ol' long beard at that time! : )

One day, when we meet, you have a cold one coming your way!

I am planning on posting the trip, here on the badweb. I just got my pictures burned. Now I need to get it wrote up.

Its going to take a couple of weeks for both the S2 and I to get back to roadready! This trip really wore on both of us! Lots of things in need of fixing/adjusting.

Thanks, again Oz, and everyone here on the Badweb, for their help and assistance.

Dave's the turkey hunter, I just like to scare the crap out of them and watch those big suckers fly up through the trees.

I snuck up on a flock of about 30 in the dense woods one day, I wished that I had a video camera, it was quite the sight and sound.

Glad you made it back ok. If you rode from Charles City to Waterloo you would have gone almost right by my house.
