I am a manager for a 7-11 store in Daytona and a customer comes too the counter today too pay . This all sounds normal yes, but soon out of his mouth comes "that your buell out there" I say yes knowing it was a love or hate comment next. Sure as hell the guy asks if I mind him saying something. I of course say no fire away. He says Buell's Suck man they suck they look funny I hate em. I said well I love mine what do you ride  he says I don't ride but I am a mech for Kawasaki race team and my girl won't let me. I am laughing too myself by now at not only the stench of bs about his kawi mechanic thing but that he does not even ride and is bagging on my bike. My reply too him was "The only people who have ever told me Buell's suck don't ride themselves and your whipped so who cares what you think anyway". Then he leaves and pulls away in a rusted out old Toyota truck hahahahaha. :P Loved it. | ||

Hmm... I got the same thing about my Buell and Sporty from a guy at work who's never ridden a bike because his wife won't let him. One day I pointed it out and he hasn't said a word... | ||

Years ago some kids pulled next to me in the center lane. "Buells suck, you hear me kid? Buells SUCK!" I said, "OK lets race you f-in Pu#@^!" I had already scanned the horizon and seen a cop across the street at the intersection. The kids gun it cutting across the lanes in the intersection while flying past the cop. I just sat there and enjoyed the insuing show. I made sure to put by nice and slow to wave at em... | ||

Was in a parking lot a week ago talking to several riders on various types of bikes. We were all complimenting and asking questions about each others rides when a Tuono rider pulls up. The bike was gorgeous and I told him so, to which he replied gazing at my Buell "Bet you wish you had gotten one!" I replied that I did but since my Junk was already huge, a bike like that would make my head explode! The guy behind me pointing to his Rebel 250 then said to the Tuono owner "You really don't want to know what's strapped to my knee!!  | ||

I actually had a guy on a Ninja ZX7R flag me down yesterday. He blew past me (I knew he would) after I had passed him by at a gas station. He slowed down though, and waved me forward, then waved me over at the next station. He was actually a nice guy, and was very complimentary of my Ss (the last Buell he'd seen was 7 years ago!). We chatted for about 20 minutes and went our separate ways. Kinda' cool. Funny thing to note: his 750cc bike looked twice as long as my 1200cc. No wonder people think we must have tiny engines. ~SM | ||

New, I hear ya. There was a 7-11 that I would stop at near the community college where I lived. Just seemed like a good break place. Haven't found a place like that here yet. Hell, I miss the dam near Augusta, GA on the GA/SC border. That was an awesome place to stop and rest. Peaceful. | ||

Vic, I live in Daytona now, not in a couple months.. Will you be franchising out the 7-11 thats there now or are they building a new place at the south east corner of the intersection? |
