For those that subscribe to MC magazines, which ones do you find to be the best and do a fair job of covering Buells?

You mean other than Fuell of course ? ;)

Iron Horse Backstreet Choppers does a good job, but most of them are cut chopper mutants from tuber donors.

Uumph, you were doing pretty good there until you threw in the covering Buells part. From what I've seen you'll have to stick to Fuell. Hopefully someone will chime in and disagree because I'd like to know of one too. At one time I had a subscription to Street Chopper but the only mention of a Buell in there was if a builder had cannibalized one.

All the euro streetfighter mags cover Buell pretty well.

I think Cycle World does a fair job of it too.

DD

Does Kiwi Rider do foreign subscriptions? If they do, I think it would be fun to subscribe to see how the other half (Southern Hemisphere) lives and rides.

Yeah we do - but we're pretty parochial and also a half dirt bike magazine that might not suit all - web content is on the agenda.

Can't do it for all but Bcorbd3 - PM me and I'll send you a mag from the office.

Hey, DD; why don't you bring a bunch of copies of Kiwi Rider with you when you come for the 25th?

You KNOW you have to be there!

what about MO?

They were one of the original Buell fans. I remember reading a great article on a very early 03 XB they flogged.

Kiwi Rider . . . . Not atypical of most non-USA mags in that not only is it printed on top quality paper but the photos and stories are great. About thrice the content of (I'm working from memory cause it's been a long time since I've hoisted a USA motorcycle mag) the content of domestic drivel.

PB(performance bike) does a decent job and I have seen many Buells in their pages from stock evaluations to specials. They seem to really understand the bike and one of their staffers owns a XB12R

Gotta love the British bike mags

What trypes my hide about most motorcycle mags that give ride reviews and test shoot outs is that you rarely get the riders stats. I mean if a bloke is all about this bike is this and that bike is that then I come to find out the publisher had a 6foot 8 giant on a nightster, well it voids his review for me on how the bike rides and handles. similarily, when the ULY came out, the press was all over it, and a couple said it had a TALL seat, but nothing mentioned that if you are 5-7 you better bring a milk crate if you want to be flat footed on it. : | And dont even get me started about top speeds of triple the speed limit, when the f@#$% am I ever going to get to do that and keep my license. Most of it is inane banter and a means to carry the ads that pay for the mag to be held together, because I damn sure I am not going to subscribe to them (no matter HOW MANY perforated tear out offers they put in their rag) by the way the girl on page 8 has a nice set of Pirelli-s ; )
