So, I had reason to change the battery in the M2. I took the old battery (still good) and stuck it in my kids fisher-price 4-wheeler. It used to have a little, cute, fisher price 6V lead-acid battery.

It now has a custom-fit YTX9 12V battery! After install & recharge, the little stinker now does power wheelies in the driveway, and will run in grass (something its never been able to do).

I had to, um, customize the seat support gussets to make room for the battery, but my son was thrilled with the results.

I laughed my a** off!

I did the same thing to my kids Bigfoot. Took a sawzall to it and put a bigblock (big ass battery) in it. It lasted a long time after that. I thought that the motors would go up in smoke but they would not die.

I remember him screaming that thing around while laughing like it was the greatest thing of all time.

That is great! Now I know I can hook my son up later in life.

Burned out the diff last night, further modifications may be required. Seems like a decent time to add a lower ratio for higher top speed.
