I ran into some luck and fortunate circumstances over the past couple of days. I've been kicking around the idea of painting the ol' Buell but the down time just kills me. Well, I had an exhaust issue this week and figured that with the bike being down now would be the perfect time... One of my sister stores sells paint and the manager knew I was hankering for some wicked orange stuff so he hooked me up with some that a customer had mixed but never picked up. With a little patience you can do a great job in the garage without a booth. A real naked sportbike! The logos come off pretty easily... After being primed and wet sanded with 1000 grit sand paper... Stay tuned because I found my airbrush and bought some frisket paper |

It doesn't have to be huge. Its in various sizes. Its used to draw on and cut your design's out on and transfer them to your piece that your working on. |

That goldy color should contrast the frame nicely. |

use many layers of clear and wet sand so you won't feel an edge. |

Way ahead of ya. I took some 2000 grit to knock down the edges and then tacked it to get any excess. It was in the upper 40s/low 50s today and too cold to spray the clear. |
