That is Pegasus, the winged horse.
Don't know why it was chosen, but.
(A very appropriate logo for a motorcycle.)

It's not a horse and the Pegasus is in the Buell's family coat of arms

Spiderman,
Are you sure about the Buell coat of arms?
I've seen the Buell family coat of arms and the one I saw didn't have Pegasus on it.

Mobile Gas did use it - great logo

Are you sure about the Buell coat of arms?

The Man Himself stated this @ Homecoming last year.

I have a friend named Buell,
He has that crest in his living room, but above the crest is a dove with the flower in it's beak.
It's a good thing Erik has Pegasus.
I'm glad the logo isn't a dove.

Pegasus is the perfect logo for his motorcycles.

This is my family crest
I think the three crossed swords would be the logo I would use, if I were ever to but my name on a product.

My family's past isn't such that we'd have a coat of arms. The folks that did made sure we came to America weather we wanted to or not. Sound familiar?
Seems that they needed more prison space, so they loaded up a ship with prisoners, and shipped them to the New World. That was my Dad's side, my Mom's side is a different story, they were a Scottish Clan, my Aunt has the crest and knows the clan's pattern.

Scotch-Irish by the time we got to Herren Cove (Herren is my Grandad's name) where the wagon wheel broke. The wagon wheel broke, had no way to fix it, so there they stayed there and made the best of it. My Grandmom's side of the family were well to do political types, the type that shouldn't associate with a Hillbilly much less marry one. That is the Wilson side of the family (My Great-Aunt Meada would be quick to remind you that Woodrow is an Uncle), the side that has the crest, coat of arms thing. Culhoon I think is the clan. Hare is an Americanized (bastardized) version of the Scandinavian original which sounded close enough to the person doing the census.

How were you able to pull that from the website. I've been wanting to get the Martello family crest as a tattoo and I can't pull the image off the house of names website.

Some of the sites won't let you copy the crest, they want to sell it to you.
Try a different site.
Perhaps a family history related site.

Or if you wanted to you could get to the page you wanted, press the "Print Screen" key, open Microsoft Paint, Photoshop or the like, then press "Ctrl+v" and it'll paste the screen in, crop and there you have it!
