Can any of you wisconsin Buellers Help out a Florida Bueller.

I`m into vintage bikes and my latest project is a 1979 Yamaha Rd400 Daytona. Its an old road racer long since retired. Use to be my old race bike. Well I finally got it back but the bottom end is trashed.

Long story short I found A Daytona bottom end in the Milwaukee area but the guy wont ship it. I`ll cover all expenses if someone could help out. In the meeeen time I just keep scanning ebay. Some of those parts are Daytona specific.

Its gonna look look real nice sitting next to the S1`s after the frame off resto.

Thanks
S1Eric

btw, how's your dad. haven't seen you around the board lately. ed's still got the firebolt and enjoying it to no end.

I work in the NW corner of Milwaukee county and live just north of the NE corner of the county. Where is the bottom end located? If need be we could do a shuttle of the parts and step them down to you, or store them until Homecoming in July, however you want to handle it.

edit to add:
Looks like the parts are in Waukesha if I guess right. Steve Mackay lives there depending upon the seller's definition of "Waukesha".

Hey Neil.
Good to here from ya. So far it looks like I have this engine thing handled. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Good to here that Ed is enjoying the 9R. Should have kept that one.

Pops is doing ok, Finished Kemo last week, and was actually gaining weight during the treatments. Docs are very happy. Of coarse I put the pounds on also, constant eating with pops.

This bike project was kinda his idea. So it should be fun.

Jason thanks for all the help i`ll be in touch.

Thanks to the folks on Bad Web this project is moving right along. Just wanted to show you guys a picture of the progress. The motor is back together and I finished most of the paint. Even took it for a ride down the street the other night. Still have a lot of bugs to work out but i`m getting there.

Thanks once again Bad Web, Jason k & Bad S1.
