it means they still won't know what a "BUELL" is when we pull in.

Heck - just use the free newspaper to protect the carpet and roll the bike into your room.

Washing? On a road trip? You're kidding me, right?

I think that's neat. Of course, I'm too cheap to stay at a Best Western (Motel 6 is more my style), but I still think it's a good thing.

oooh, free lip balm.

When I'm traveling with my bike, I just request ground level room for easy roll in storage overnight. Maybe I could use the wash towels so I don't leave tire tracks on the carpet next time

Funny stuff...

On a serious note I think this is a great idea. Even though we are not officially benefitting. It is nice to see a business cater to our needs.

I know when I am on the road, any hotel that offers preferential motorcycle parking is going to get my business.

There is a motel I have stayed at a few times in Kalispell MT that has covered carports just the right size for a bike. The nice part is at night the carports get surrounded by cars so your bike can't "walk off"

Frankly . . . as a person who has traveled 44 states on the seat of a Buell. . . I like the idea.

There were many times I'd ridden 700 or 800 miles in a day and was to meet media or Buell folks for an event. Dealers were less than cordial about having someone they'd never seen pull in and want to clean a bike.

The other thing that would be huge to me is parking. I eventually adopted kind of a "unless they tell me not to" attitude. I'd always park close and often, if I were on an upper floor and couldn't see the bike, I'd chain that baby as close to the well lit front door as possible.

Regardless. . . friends are always better than enemies and Harley jokes aside. . . . I think it's kinda cool. In fact, if I had the time I'd write that marketing person and enlighten them about Buells and share my thanks.

Building, not burning, bridges is good science.

Anything a business does to reach out to the MC community is a good thing in my mind. Of course, these are just marketing strategies, but that does not make them bad. I like staying somewhere that at least tries to cater to my needs. There is a hotel in a little town in Georgia I make a point of staying in because the employees there have gone out of their way to make my stay on my bike better. I have stayed there a few times on my trips to and from NC and each time the employees have asked me if I wanted to park my bike at their front door. When it was raining they offered me extra towels to dry the bike off. Things like that. Now if they only had a decent breakfast. Oh well, you can't have everything.

I like that they are reaching out and at least trying to get us in there but I'm still of the mindset of parking it inside.
