I just came from American Sport Bike and picked up some handlebar bling for my birthday gift from me to me.

The new bike looked like this:

but now looks like this:

Here's a few more angles of the cleaned up skyline:

MAJOR improvement in overall style and the functionality of these mirrors is unmatched by any others I've tried.

Thanks to Al and Joanne for a great deal on these beauties. (even though they didn't go on a Buell)

Now get rid of those heavy-ass cats, and put a real exhaust system on there. Or can you do that in CA?

As in racing, it's not cheating until you get caught, so it is for emissions violations.

I will help you commute on it!

I had a chance to buy one of those for $4200 with only 700 miles on it when I worked for Honda, I now wish I had not passed it up!

Yeah, I know. I have a brand new set right here in a box. The ones on the bike had a few blemishes on them (that I didn't really even notice) and the dealer insisted on giving me warranty replacements, so I wasn't going to argue. I'll put them on this weekend, but new pipes aren't in the cards for a couple of months yet.

I have a large tattoo in progress that is eating holes in my wallet.

Mickey ears might be ok if I could actually use them to SEE what's happening behind me. I already know what my own elbows look like, so I gave them the Van Gogh treatment.

The mirrors got the Van Gogh, and not the elbows, right?
