Did the Daytona thing last weekend..

I've never checked out Bruce Rossmeyer's Daytona before.. This whole complex is bigger than a lot of little towns..

I hit the Ducati Dealership first which was really nice. The shop was half emptied out and half full of Arlen Ness motorcycles.. Speak of the Devil the man himself was there hanging out talking and doing pictures and what not..

Sorry Arlen, I had one thing on my mind and that was to mount an Italian beauty... The 1098 is Gorgeous saw her and her sisters again at the speedway..

Time for World biggest Dealership... This place is massive Take your typical two story
sears department stores and its about that size.. I see buell logo and get amped I started speedwalking through the crowd..

Yes 6 Buells... Ohhhhh a 1125r must be more buells Okay maybe over here nope.. here, Nope Where are the buell parts thats all the shirts

My little local dealer has more buells and clothing and parts.. This place was a Joke..

++ I got some more seat time on 1225... I need to demo one before I pull the trigger.

So IMHO go check it out bruces or do like me next year sticking to the speedway and races.. Hopefully buell will be there..

Actually, go check out Seminole Buell shop or Gainesville HD. Both great places for Buell in FL. Heck, if you want a testament, I'm traveling from CO back to FL to go to Gainesville HD just to buy the 1125R. Never been done wrong by them.

I did the same thing at Sturgis last year.

HUGE Main Sturgis Dealership. Had 3 or 4 last year model Buells stuck in the corner. No apparel or accessories

I couldn't beleive it.

Later I found another smaller dealership out in the middle of nowhere (gillete wyoming or something like that, I'd have to check the back of the shirt to be sure) a bit west of the whole sturgis area.

Tons of Buells, Multiple Buell accessory racks, complete with leather jackets, windbreakers, mens and womens shirts, hats, etc.

Later I found out the owner of that dealership and his wife both ride Tubers.

+1 on Seminole. I visited with Mike when I was down in FL last thanksgiving. Great guy, great looking shop, loads of inventory. Definitely worth a look...but look carefully, unless they finished the road construction in front of the shop, they're a bitch to find!

I didn't even think about Seminole....

Shit I drove right past it going through I-4... I'm going to have to take a road trip up there one weekend and check out the shop..

I was disappointed I didn't even see buell on the speedway. Unless they had already packed it up..

getting dissapointed at the one my daughter works at until next week. they let their display go to hell. half of the space was takin up by the chrome guy and the buell display with the bike mounted on it's side is out in the service dept. had a few hats, two jackets, one style of shirt and a few other odds and ends. highly dissapointed. tried to find seminole buell one time but got lost. as far as bruce goes, i have issues with that place to so i'll just keep that to myself.

I ended up buying a Joe Rocket Jacket because I knew I would never see Buell Leather anywhere near where I live. I understand "Economies of Scale" but W.T.F.? I have to fly to to Florida, California, or wherever to support my Motorcycle of choice? I love my country, but I hate that we are always an afterthought to the American market.

I really dont care for Douche Rossmeyers but Its right behind my house. Some times when I'm bored I go over and see if theres anything worth my time. Usually not but they have an Annex building out back that sells Triumph, Ducati and 4 different cookie-cutter-chopper companies. But hey who else do you know that has their name on a bike? www.ruckerperformance.com

If you are ever out west(Vancouver) check out Trev Deeley's shop. Biggass Harley dealer and mebey 8 or 9 Buells. Freindly sales people hovering over you willing to help with just a glance. Lots of Buell leather/shirts/yadda. I dont live in Vancouver but whenever I visit, I always stop in there. They have a museum of old harleys and a few Buells thrown in as well. Great place...}

Fat A$$ Rossmeyer is the poster child for all that is wrong with the HD culture these days. He now owns, what, 10 dealerships?

I go to Bike Week every Year but will NEVER set foot in the complex he built by I95.

He made his money selling import cars in Daytona then ended up with the franchise after Robisons lost it/gave it up.

...and why does he need to put his booze-swollen face and name on every billboard? Makes me believe his must have the worlds-smallest manhood!

Every thing he stands for sickens me. A couple years ago, when the bike market was tighter, he had rows of current-year "used" bikes at thousands over MSRP.

Frankly, I usually don't even go near the mega HD shops, and rarely stop at any that don't sell Buell.

A rare exception was last week when Erik and the band were playing at St. Augustine. (not a Buell dealer!) We actually only stopped because the shop is along the Interstate and we needed to find a clean restroom!!!

The clueless HD masses make me appreciate the fellowship of Buellers all the more. I've been riding for 35 years and always enjoyed the fellowship aspect of motorcycling, but just can't relate to the geezer-glide crowd driving around the Loop at Ormand at 10 UNDER the speed limit!!!

OK rant over...carry on!

I find it kinda of funny the the annex shop you where talking about had 10 times more Ducati and Triumph gear,
compared to the Buell display in the Mega Dealership...

I'm sorry those choppers all look a like to me.. I've known for a long time that those things ride like shit.
I laughed my ass off Saturday morning on the way up in the wind and cold..
The road was loaded with guys on sketchy choppers and those thing where all over the road..

How's is like living in the area.. Back in the day, other than Races and bike events & Spring break Daytona area could be like ghost town..
More stuff going on year round I imagine these days..

Living in daytona coming from me is going to sound like every young person in a small town with nothing much to offer to someone with such varied tastes.
It sucks, other than the fact I can pick up the tourist chicks and never see them again. The events are pretty becoming pretty lame. Bike Week and Biketoberfest is nothing but a bunch of accountants, sales reps, and any other RUB i left out parading their loud pipes and new leather and chrome.
During these events dont expect to ever actually hit the speed limit. Like Kuuude said they drive under the limit by so much I never actually feel any kind of motion breeze.

Today I'm gonna ride out SR40 to Lake Mill Dam for the best biscuits and gravy in the state. Then going to Palatka for some swap meet and see if I can find any Triumph parts real cheap. its 8:23 so I'm gonna split.

hey i feel your guys pain. our closest buell dealer is in dothan, al. its a pretty good size HD shop. 2 stories and all. the top floor is mostly clothes.

the bottom floor is mostly harleys, i think they had 8 buells when i bought mine all streetfighters. no bolts. i asked how long it would take to get an 1125 or a firebolt(listing my options). they said and i quote"man, we've been waiting forever for an 1125" i was like, aren't they brand new and you have to order them?. but that wasn't the weird part.

when i first walked in, they were very nice and asked me if i needed help. i said i was looking at buying a buell. the guy said and i quote again,"oh!, well, those guys are over there", and pointed to a corner. at least the guy that helped me was somewhat knowledgeable on buells, but didn't really want to dicuss ordering one. i was able to ride the city and it hooked me so thats what i went for. all of that to me was a pretty good experience, and they pulled my bike off the floor and put it in the back for reserve, which was cool. i didn't even put down a deposit. told them i had a pre-approved loan and they were cool about it.

now the bad. so four of us go to this shop to buy bikes. i was the only buell guy. all but one of us had blank checks from usaa. it still took 4 hours to process everybody through paperwork. they knew we were coming ahead of time and they only had one finance guy. i know it was a saturday, but 4 other guys bought bikes that day. so 8 bikes sold and one finance guy. is it normal to have only one finance guy for a dealer of that size? anyway overall a good experience, but just slow in my book.

anyway thats my story. hey, at least they sold buells. they are "supposedly" building a hd dealer here in panama city bch, but i haven't heard or read anything this.

+1 for Deeley's. Good people, nice shop. They moved me to the head of the queue for an oil change and a TPS re-set on the way to Laguna last year. Had a speed sensor in stock (mine was getting wonky) that I took w/me in case I needed it. Was so imperessed, I bought a new helmet while I was there, and they shipped my old one home. Will definitely stop by again anytime I'm in the area.

I had some bike issues on my buell riding back from Texas.

I've had good service in Pensacola....
Its been almost two year but I remember a bunch of the service techs people and people who worked there rode buells..

Pensacola for average size dealer they had a respectable amount of bikes and clothing..
One thing stood out they carried some after market mufflers Jardine etc, and had them on display..

I feel for ya dude..

Seemed like all weekend people didn't know where the f**k they where going.
Its called a map, leaving the speedway going to beach people didn't even know there is
more than one bridge to the beach.

I find it Ironic that Rossmeyers sponsors some Buell racers but yet doesn't have even carry a good selection of bikes and parts..

Seems the Guy would put his name on goat if it would get his name out there..

Is that the new dealership they built a year or so ago with the restaurant? Like a western theme or something..

Or the one on 60 next to the XTC

I used to work near there on 301

that's the one on 60 next to xtc, not that i know what xtc is. my daughters last day is saturday there in brandon. fbolt32, ask your mom if she knows wednesdays parents.

i was pretty dissapointed when i was down a couple weeks ago. took up half the buell area for the chrome guy and put the buell display out in the service area. someone's got their head up their butt. i've already voiced my opinion, not that it will do any good.

It's going to suck seeing wednesday go. She has been awesome and is the reason I bought the Bolt. She knows those bikes inside and out it seems. I've bitched to her about it as well. She straight up told me that when she leaves it will get worse because she's the only one other than one of the shop guys who actually like the Buell.

My mom is Momma Sue in motor clothes. I'll ask if she as met you guys.

Your daughter is awesome and is most definitely going to be missed.

thanks jesse. she turned out to be a pretty good daughter. i have never heard one bad thing about her after she started getting her head screwed on straight. and she really likes riding although she was on my m2l when it got totalled. some one slammed her from the rear just down the street on faulklenberg. she does have the nightster to use down there but i'm not allowing her to take it up to wisconsin for right now.

your mom knows who we are and i think she is a pretty cool person. tell her we said hi. plus do you ever hook up for the saturday ride out of lakeland with lafayettte and the others.

No...I haven't hooked up with any other buellers. I mostly ride with my folks and their Harley crew. I talked to my mom today and asked if she had ever met you guys. She said she had and that you guys were pretty damn cool yourselves. Wednesday will definitely be missed by those guys in Brandon. Like I said, when she leaves I'm screwed. Nobody else there gives two shits about Buell.

I made the trek to Duech's place today. 5 Buells on the floor, and a very small Buell parts/ clothes selection.

Other than that, nearly got lost in the sea of crome inside the store... I found it a bit much, and I am a Harley guy.

On the way out, I spotted an XBRR with full carbon body work, tucked away in a corner, behind some geezer glide... Price tag said $34,000 or so...

Now I can say I finally visited the place and can happily say I see no need for me to return!

Hey you Tampa Guys. Do you know anything about the dealer is Clearwater, Fletchers? How are they for taking care of Buell people? I was in Jim's St. Pete Harley on 54th about 2 weeks ago. There wasn't even a Buell on the floor. It's like Buells doen't even exist. When I buy, who in the area is gonna take the least worse care of me?

Depends on where your at. Brandon has a Buell guy in the shop. I've heard Tampa are a bunch of assholes. Both are expensive. There is a shop in Auburndale called X-tech. They are Harley certified. I will be bringing my 9r to them. $150 for 5,000 mile service and maybe a drop included with that.

I live in Safety Harbor. That's north Pinellas county. Right next to Dunedin and the extreme north end of Clearwater. I've been to all the local HD dealerships and the only one that even seems like they know Buell exists is Fletchers on US 19 in Clearwater. But you get treated different when you're a prospective buy than when you're just another guy trying to buy a part or two. I don't mind a little travel to get treated decent but don't want to have to make the 100 mile trip to Orlando just to be able to been visible to the sales guy.

I've done a little work out in Safety Harbor. The Clearwater Harley may be your best bet. My mom works for Brandon...I'll see what see says about the guys in the shop. I had to bring mine in there when I blew up my blinker switch. They were pretty cool, but that could just be because they know I'm family. I'll be sending my to X-tech here in the next couple weeks. I'll PM you when the work is done and let you know how they are out there. But it is all the way the hell in A-dale. That would be quite a hike for you.

Oh yeah, that's quite a hike for me. Aburndale must be 65 or 70 miles at least. A visit there could be a good excuse for an afternoon on the bike but to try and use them all the time... nahhh that isn't gonna work.

At least Fletchers had 4 or 5 bikes on the floor. Only place I've even seen Buells for sale. Jeeze!
