It's not a bad looking bike but I just can't get behind that paint set. I know it's limited edition and all and I'm the world's biggest sucker for a limited edition but...I just don't see it. I'd love to see these old tubers increase in value, not that I'd sell but I'd feel alot better just knowing it wasn't tanking every time I rode it. Just wondering if anyone else thinks the price is in the clouds. | ||

The bike is worth whatever someone will pay for it. The problem is, as I understand it, that the X1 is kind of the black sheep of the tubers. They were the most finiky, not as graceful in design, etc. Personally, I think that bike it worth the $6k the guy is asking for it, but that doesn't mean I'd buy it for that. It's got WAY low miles, so that helps a lot. | ||

I am confused about the whole "AFTER MARKET SHOCK," thing. The photos show the bandaid clamshell fix for the 1999 recall. I have asked him to provide photos of the "after market shock" . . .and we will then see exactly who is confused here. | ||

guys nuts in my opinion. i have the same paint scheme. big deal, aftermarket paint from harley, not that big of a demand for the paint style. Hell, ill sell mine to someone in trade for black... id give him 4k for it. when i was borderlining on selling mine, i was asking 3k, and i have the carbon fiber undertail, billet aluminum gauge panel. he has that ugly arse seat on his too.. yuck | ||

The seller wrote back and said, "WELL I WAS TOLD IT WAS AN AFTERMARKET SHOCK..LOOKS LIKE I'LL HAVE TO REVISE OR PROVIDE A SHOCK OF THE BUYERS CHOICE..HOW DOES THAT SOUND??? I responded with my opinion that he may have been misinformed about the the shock. I also mentioned that aftermarket shocks were pretty spendy ($700 and up) and suggested that it might be simpler and more effective to edit the ad to remove the part about "after market shock" . . .we will see. | ||

Will you guys either bid or get off my case about the price. It's a good bike and worth the money no matter what shock is on it. All this sarcasm, sinisism and condisention has really made this an unpleasurable experience to say the least. You bunch of meanies. Thank you and have a nice day. | ||

That you did Hammeroid, I did at one time think there was a part in there about him being 60 and looking funny on it. According to your profile you should barely be halfway there. I was going to call you on it but didn't want to stir the pot. This post wasn't meant to flame the guy. The new bid is way more palatable than the first time it was around. Cityslicker you have my curiosity up, do you have an X1 or one with the factory limited paint? And what's the damage on it? | ||

I for one like it BUT, would not get anywhere close to 9k for it. I paid 3500 for an02 with 1900 miles on it. SPOTLESS. Now the paint set, thats up to the individual, not worth it to me. | ||

I read that earlier today and wondered if anyone would pick up on it and post. Do I have this right, no one is bidding on it as it is so he's going to jack the price up? WTF?
