Wow! A friend permitted me to ride his new 1125R yesterday for an extended period of time. Curves and straight away. It does insist that the rider hangs his butt off the seat on tight curves. I'm a sit up guy on corners but it pleads for the rider to hang off. That thing is a beast! It's manners are great at low speed too. Unending smiles. The screams emitting from my mouth were louder than the exhaust. Great, great bike. Did I say I liked it?

I saw my first 1125R at the Independence HD & Buell dealership in College Station, TX Saturday afternoon. They weren't offering test rides, but I did sit on her and crawl around on the floor looking her over.

She really does look good in person. I was pleased to note that when I sat on the bike, I immediately saw that the radiator pods don't stick out past the sides of the frame at all. She's really got a slim profile. Fit and finish was top notch, and I was quite impressed with the blend of the old and new technologies (XB carryovers). Now we've got something with all the latest bells and whistles and power, but still retains the XB heritage.

I was leaning toward adding a rice burner to my collection next (probably GSXR 1000), but having seen the new bike in person, I will definitely give it a test drive and consider another Buell.

Don't ride the GSXR-1000 if you want the Buell still. THEM bikes are STUPID POWERFULL!!!

I still like my lug of a motor better....

I know I would be happy with more power. I'm just curious about the handling and power deliver on that Gixxer. Never ridden anything but singles and v-twins. I love to go fast, but the bike's gotta have some soul too. The new Buell just might give the crotch rocket a run for the money in my book if she still handles like my XB. I was very very impressed (considering I thought it was butt-ugly in the pics I saw).

TX- I test rode one a few weeks ago now...you will love it. Not as much power as a gsxr1k but very very flickable, hard to say but maybe more then the XB.

I have also ridden a 1k and it wasn't my cup of tea, couldn't get use to the stupid high power band, top heavy and I thought hard to ride since I was concerned as to not hit the power band to hard and was trying to keep the front end down.

Yeah, my driver just bought a new GSXR-1000 and I rode it back to the shop for him. It has so much power it's scary. He was getting upset as I did burnouts away from every stop light (he was directly behind me in his car) and kept pulling the front wheel up too.

While it was fun, I prefer my S at the end of the day. All I could envision was getting in trouble on that Suzuki. I guess I could get in the same trouble on my Buell, but it's mine, so I don't beat on it in that fashion and don't have a desire to.
