I attended a track day a few years ago where a guy showed up on a new GoldWing. He held his own all day, really rode that thing and gained a lot of respect from the the "rocket" crowd.

I've got a feeling the guy above did the same!

Shows that there's no excuse not to that it to the track!!

I have that picture in my garage.

A few years ago at Road America for Reg Pridmores CLASS school, there were Goldwings, BMW RT's. They do well, I saw a guy highside a Road King in turn 5 just in front of me.....OUCH is all I could say.
They have motor, its just the thought of running them in the corners. :o

To be fair, the guy has highway pegs and mid controls and is using the latter. But he certainly has my respect.

It must be a little depressing for the guy on the left with the Sportster cafe racer complete with clip on bars.

I've leaned my Dyna to angles that had me feeling uncomfortable on slow/tight switchbacks without grounding anything yet. Don't know where the limit is and am not really pursuing it.

I'm in the middle of my winter upgrades now. I'm adding a pair of new Progressive 412 rear shocks and a Race-Tech kit with the Gold Valve Emulators and better springs to the front forks.

I'm looking forward to a better handling Dyna this year but not in the market for any track days.

A few years back myself & 2 friends went to the local dealers & borrowed a S1W demo, they also lent us a Road King so we could all go out together & swap around, I ended up piloting the RK with one on the back & the other took off on the S1, I wrung it's neck & scraped everything going round the roundabouts, but I caught him up.

He nearly had a cow when I blew past him coming out of another roundabout.

The mechanic wasn't best pleased when we got back, apparently he'd heard me bouncing it off the rev limiter in every gear going up the road.

I have to say though, for a big old lard-bucket it hung on quite well.

There's a guy down here that races one too.

Some races he only gets lapped once.
