Yea, I got leathers pants but I want something a little lighter for commuting to work or causal riding to the local bike night..... I find my self more often than not wearing jeans on the way to work.. I do wear my fancy padded under shorts under them at least.. I see ads for Draggin jeans, Diamond Gusset Defender jeans, Sliders jeans, Undercover Jeans, Joe Rocket Steel jeans and Icons Jeans and Technic.. etc............... Any recommendations would be really appreciated.. I'm leaning toward the Draggin and Diamond Gusset Jeans at the moment... Thanks.... |

I think that would be the first guy in history that would need the jaws of life to get him off a motorcycle. |

Tedda - the sliders jeans have more kevlar coverage than the other. Plus they're a bit cheaper and you can get khakis and cargo pants if your works needs you wearing something like that. If it were my money, I'd be getting the sliders. |

That guy is around my size, maybe a little bigger. I'm impressed, it looks like his pucks have been used! |

I'm impressed, it looks like his pucks have been used! It is a lot easier to drag a knee when the suspension is bottomed out! |

I wonder how many cows it took to make that suit? |

I give the guy(fat one) some serious kudos. He probably had to have that suit specially made(not allot of em that size on the "rack"),had to put up with some probably very funny comments behind his back, and that fact that, even with his condition, self induced or not, he's out there riding.....and I think riding with him would be cool, thinka the money youd save on gas by riding behind him, might not be a good idea after a "chili" stop... |

My $.02: I work at a dealership fulltime and wear H-D's Kevlar reinforced jeans. (Good to know when I take folks out for test rides that I've got some protection.) These jeans are seriously comfy, have worn well so far, and I like them better than the Draggin jeans. I have had one pair of the Draggin jeans, wore them out sooner than I expected, found that they got uncomfortable/chafing in hot weather- other than that I liked them and still wear them for a beater pair. Check out the H-D Kevlars if you can find them. |

Tell me more about HD kevlars. I saw them once on a trip. When I got home I asked my local dealer. We went thru their product catalog and were unable to find them anywhere. |

Good Motorcycle Jean... Your Experiences... False sense of protection. My knee knows all about draggin jeans. While being dragged behind a pick up truck, they may wear well... Impact resistant is nil. You may also get hurt when they twist on you. Only my 2ยข |

I started wearing a pair of Tour Master overpants last summer. They get a little warm and it's a bit of a pain to take them off and put them on before and after every 7 mile ride, but I started to get paranoid about my commuting in dress slacks all the time. Good resistance, hip and knee padding. I feel lots better. |

I'd give praise for Aerostich Darien pants. They are unlined, 500 denier cordura/Gore-tex fabric with removeable hard knee pads and come in a variety of colors. Cut like jeans, you can wear them over your street pants or as is. They also make a lighter duty version with the same features (for those in hotter climates?). |

No question about it: Arborwear (available through RidersWarehouse). Also very comfortable and significantly warmer in cold weather |

I got the HD Kevlars on the sale rack at the local HD dealer for 20% off. Came to something like $43 or so. They are comfy and a bit warmer for the cool weather. I liked them enough that I picked up a second pair. They weight a bit more as well. I was looking them over for several months at the dealer. They did not seem to be moving at all. I was surprised as the price was reasonable and quality looked ok but they were not selling. As for protection, I thankfully can't say. I have modest expectations however. I would like to directly compare other similar jeans but the opportunity has not come up. They just seem too comfy to be of much protection and I hope I never find out. |

How is the protection integrated on the HD jeans.. Shoot for 43 bucks I'd buy a pair... I was in the Harley dealer last week how do you recognize them.. just a the name or is there a display or something.. |
