riding. looking for something that's cool in summer heat and offers reasonable protection. also want it to be plain looking, I'm to old and conservative for some of the racy looking stuff out there. Any idea's would be appreciated, thanks.

How's $129 dollars look for full CE armor with zero adornment?

Or 99$ for one with a "little" adornment?

I have one of these and absolutely love it. Quality is top notch and the armor in it is really good.

I've been really pleased with the Buell "Adventure Jacket". About $220.00. Two arm vents, two back vents, two removable front panels that allow circulation all around inside, removable liner, and personally tested armor, elbows, back, shoulders.

I use a Cortech DSX denim for casual, it does have black stretch panels on the inside of the elbows, so maybe the Mod would be more stealth. CE approved armor.

The DSX is very comfy. Needs a neck gaiter for cold weather.

I run the GSX Air in hot weather. Mine's yellow.

With a t-shirt on under, it's like wearing a t-shirt with elbow pads. The temps here can go from 90 to 40 and with the zip out liner, I'm good.

It looks like First Gear came out with a new Killamanjaro Air jacket, and the older ones (which is the style I have) are showing up pretty cheap in a variety of places. Its a great jacket, and the insulating liner is remarkable as well. Without the liner it is a great summer jacket, without it it is a great winter jacket. The liner packs up *really* small.

FWIW. Not quite cheap, but a lot of bang for the buck.
