I thought I remembered seeing a post about a burger run sometime in the spring, to somewhere in PA?

OK, I'm a little sketchy on the details, and I searched a little, but having very little to go on, didn't find much.

I mentioned it to a few people here in Jersey a while back, and was wondering if anyone here knew anything about it or was planning on going, maybe we could hook up somewhere along the way? Or even meet up here at Liberty if a few local folks wanted to? I know I'd like to go.

Unless it's some sort of invitation only type thing, or a signing up type thing. I know the Harley crowd is big on registrations and sign-ups and stuff, so I don't know if this is that organized of an event.

Anyone know anything more than burgers somewhere in PA, sometime in the spring?

Thanks,
->ChelleM

Why don't you grab Anthony and both of you come down to MBV and TWO for some burgers? It would be a road march to Georgia, but believe me, you can get some good burgers here.

You could use it as an excuse to bond with your customers

Chellem,
It's in the Storm fronts under "Second Ever Res Ride"

You could always come over for the Res Ride as well.

Copy/pasted from the official info thread on STN (sport-touring.net). Here is a link to the thread: http://www.sport-touring.net/forums/index.php/topi c,21632.0.html

Reservations have been made for the 3rd Annual Region 6 "Meet and Eat" at Dennys Beer Barrel Pub in Clearfield, PA: home of the Worlds Largest Hamburger. Expect about 100+ riders to show up from all over the region. Most are from the Pittsburgh area, but more than a few people make a weekend of it and ride there on Saturday, spend the night at a local hotel (Days Inn?) and ride home on Sunday after lunch.

DATE: Sunday, April 20th. Show up by Noon and BS/eat/etc until 2-ish

I got the following reply from Denny when inquiring about reserving the back room for this year:

Quote: ? Select ? ? Expand ?

Hi, we were just talking about your group at our management meeting on 2/1/08. We will have half the building reserved: the entire top section including the dinning room. I will post notice for your event on our web site also. We are also going to offer "SPORTBIKE BURGER RUN SPECIALS" of course with some added flair and couple of gift card drawings as some added bonus. If there is anything further I can do let me know...

Best Regards, Denny

THAT'S those big burgers I saw.

Looks to be approx. 4 1/2 hours from Rahway here, so if we left around 8, we could be there by noon. Or, go up the night before maybe, then we could take our time getting back and ride something nicer than I80 the whole way.

Anyone from my neck o' the woods interested in meeting up? I know, it's a bit early. But that rack of beers looks pretty good too. . .

This guy in Southgate Mi (about 6 miles from Telway) just beat that record at Denny's.

I was there last Sunday. Very chilly day to be eating burgers at a place that only has outdoor seating, but it was worth it! Two double-doubles!
