Trying to see if any of you guys have intrest in starting up a mini rally in the catskills in new york state.
I found a YMCA place up there last year while riding through and it would be a perfect site. I emailed them had to tweak the request abit we would be an adventure group I kinda omitted the motorcycles for now.
anyway frostvalley.org the place is right smack in the middle of the mountains
post up if ya got intrest

If or when you organize this PM me and I'll provide you with some nice printable route sheets that start and end in the Liberty NY (southern Catskill area). These were from a 2006 Concours Owners Group rally. There is some nice riding in the Catskills.

Brumbear: And bears : )

My brother and I where coming down along the pepacton Reservoir, and came across these 2 bear cubs just hanging out in the middle of the road. We got out of there before we could meet momma, but was still interesting.

Count me in. The Catskills have some really nice roads, not a lot of traffic, and great scenery.

I'm assuming you're thinking about doing a weekend thing? I would advise against anything that butts up against the first full week in June since that will be Americade not much further north.

That could be a good thing. A lot of people (myself included) would prefer a smaller event. Others might like to stop by on their way up north to extend their week, or whatever.

I am going to try and find a campsite that will allow a bit of noise would be a good word. I was thinking of june6th D Day baby
but fri the 13th could be cool. And if it goes off I say in keeping with what other Buellers before us have done and call it after NY folk legends how about the VAN WINKLE RIP well hey it sounds cool anyway
If you want to look at the centered area curry ny is as central as I can get there covered bridges and mountain roads o plenty

It is hard for me to plan that far out, but I'd like to go.
Homecoming would be great, but it's distance makes it too expensive for me to make it, so a back up trip with great roads not to far from home would be great.

I will try my hardest to get down there. Maybe not camp over night, but I can easily take the nice way down from where I live.

Since you are going to be in Livingston Manor. I would highly suggest taking Rt 30 around the pepacton Resorvior. Some really nice twisties in that area. (right where my bro and I came across those bears...)
